View Full Version : AZ Cardinals vs. NO Saints

great to kick off the playoff weekend with the game i anticipate most. of all the games in this round, this is the only one where i hate to see either team lose.

its seems all the talking heads are predicting a 38-35 shootout and why not? this game would easilly have 800 yds of offense. im guessing both teams focused so much on defense that the score will be a little lower than expected. both teams know they will have to bring their defense to the next round and even the superbowl.

im guessing 28-24 cardinals. saints have homefield advantage, and have brought in a new mascot, duece mccallister, for inspiration; however i think they will fall due to the "resting players for 3 week" curse.

good luck to both teams cause my sb favorite probably comes from this game.

As porous as the Steelers pass D was at times this year, it was still better than either of these two teams, IMO. At least we had linebackers who hassled the QB. Both of these teams D's are horrible. I ran out of fingers counting the missed tackles by the Cards after the second Saints' drive.

steelers win = teams fans whine (i believe regardless of team).

i wonder what the over/under for this game is. i guessed it would be about 68-72. it looks like they will have no problem eclipsing that in the 2nd half. i woulda taken the under, but az defense didnt show up and saints defens is abusing the qb.

Hey, it sounds great to me. Brees has been so good for so long; it's awesome that he might end this season with a ring. And I certainly don't want to see the Clownboys in the Super Bowl and I'm sick of Favre so I'd rather not see the Vikes there, either. On the AFC side, the only team left that I think could really give them a run for their money is the Chargers, but I still think Nawlins is better.

I agree.

Though I'm glad the Cards are getting an ass whoopin', I really do feel kind of bad for Kurt Warner and Fitz, as the Cards wouldn't be where they are if it weren't for their grit and phenomenal play. They'd better be looking behind them next season in the NFCW - the 49'ers are up and coming with a formidable D, as well as a dynamic HC in Mike Singletary and I think they're going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Not surprised. They're just as bad as Squawks fans, by and large. Must be something in the water in the NFC West that turns fanbases into a bunch of whiny crybabies. Of course in this case, 98% of their "fans" didn't exist before their win over Carolina in the Divisional round last year. :coffee:

I don't hate the Cards - where did I say that? The Saints have been my second favorite team for a long time now and I am happy they beat the Cards. Now when it comes to the Saints facing my Steelers - it's gloves off and I cheer for a Saints beatdown.

Wisenhunt has done a good job in AZ but the Cards being knocked out of the playoffs will spare Gary and I from having to deal with the redundant "We Should Have Hired Whiz" threads. :banging:

That is exactly why I enjoyed their beating. I wish the Crydinal fans would come back to this board and tell us how Steve Breaston is gonna torch us in the Super Bowl

They will be back into mediocrity or worse just like Seahawks are and the fairweather bandwagon Crydinal fans can go back to watching Wildcat basketball games.

Even if the Cards had beaten the Saints and went on to win the Super Bow this year, why would anyone even possibly consider "having to deal with the redundant 'We Should Have Hired Whiz' threads"? I mean Tomlin ALREADY has won the Super Bowl in only his second year! How could anyone quickly dismiss that and jump to the "Whiz" wagon so quickly? That would be way too fair-weather for me! I am not saying you are like that (heck, no!) but I don't want other Steelers fans to dare go there!
