Here is what they had to say about Pittman:

One of Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome's rare misses, Pittman was the No. 87 overall pick in 2006 and has been a complete non-contributor. Barring the light finally flipping on for Pittman in camp, he won't make the team.

Hasnt played since 2007. Just another camp body.

Thanks for the link and info.

He's just another low risk high reward type in the long line of camp fodder players imo. Just goes to show our coaching staff is doing due dilligence and uncovering every rock.

90% of being a CB is speed and quickness... hopefully he still has that after not playing for so long...

This is the most free agent action you will see this organization proceed with, just adding players to the practice squad.

... in all seriousness, I don't see this signing affecting anything for us, unless he hangs around as the last guy on the depth chart because Townsend leaves and frees up a spot.

Probably camp fodder, but does he have any usefulness as a Special Teams player?

Really. So why is the fastest CB in the NFL currently a mediocre CB.

People would be surprised how good some of these semi pro players end up being.
Then again, some are just plain bad.
