Who would you pick?

assuming Dan Williams, Rolondo McClain, Earl Thomas, Anthony Davis, Brian Bulaga and expected top 10 guys are are gone by pick 18.

Who would you pick?

1. Mike Iupati OG
2. Sean Weatherspoon ILB
3. Jared Odrick DE
4. Donovan Warren CB
5. Trade Picks 1.18 and 4.18 to San Diego for picks 1.28 and 2.28

None of the above? IF i had to pick I'd say Warren. Odrick I dont see room for him right now...Weatherspoon I see most places having him as an OLB and most places have him going in the 2nd round...Iupati..if we didnt take Urbik last year and have a handful of G's on our team then I'd say maybe him. I dunno if i'd trade THAT far down...we dont get to pick this high too often...id move down a couple picks maybe.

I think we should go with a shutdown corner with Warren if Thomas and the others are gone. Warren would be a great addition and would be starting first year in my book.

WIth that scenario I would trade down

Iupati the only genuine top 20 pick and he is probably not the greatest need. The other guys listed are no where near that value. ( not saying that they arent good players)

I would then go and fix the D ( couldnt find an OT to fit on value)

#1 -28 Kyle Wilson CB
#2 - 18 ( 50) Brandon Spikes ILB
#2 - 28 ( 60) Morgan Burnett FS
#3 - 18 ( 82) Torrell Troup NT

I think I would trade down as well. I like what Aussie did with the picks as well.

I don't know. I think Odrik would be well worth a pick at 18. However, after last years 1st rd. pick of Hood, I can't say that would be an early objective (for us).

I do like what you've done with the trade... they're all very good prospects. That being said, we my be lucky to end up with just one of those names. I still love it though. :hope: Now, how about some offense. :chuckle:

Redzoooone!

I was thinking of someone who might be able to help with the blocking.

None of the above.

I would rather pick Patrick Robinson, Kyle Wilson or Earl Thomas before any of those 4.

i know nothing about trading value but we should be going up not down

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670

Our 1st and 4th are worth 966 points. SD's 1st and 2nd are worth 960. Fair trade. That would be a lot a value packed into the 1st two rounds.

I concur with Aussie. And if we pulled that off, it'd rival the 74 draft.

I say Mike Iupati and hope Warren is there in the 2nd!

Interesting thoughts all.

There are a lot of 3-4 teams at the end of the first round. If we're in that scenario, I hope that there's a good 3-4 DE hanging around to make the trade happen.

If Dan Williams, McClain, Thomas, Davis, and Bulaga are gone, then one (or maybe a couple) of the following 13 would be available, and that's who I'd take:
Sam Bradford
Clausen
Jahvid Best
C.J. Spiller
Trent Williams
Okung
Suh
McCoy
Haden
Berry
Pierre-Paul
Hughes
Dez Bryant

I wouldn't take Iuopati because I don't think a guard is worth the 18th pick and Iupati looked like he would have trouble pass blocking in the drills at the combine (didn't see any of his games), I wouldn't take Odrick because I don't think he's anywhere near a value at 18, I like Weatherspoon but I'd rather have someone bigger than 239 pounds at the buck and we already have a good LB at the Mike, and I do like Warren, but not as much as the guys I listed. Of the options you list, I'd take Warren.

I like your list but I would make a slight change....

#1 -28 Kyle Wilson CB
#2 - 18 ( 50) Brandon Spikes ILB
#2 - 28 ( 60) Myron Rolle FS
#3 - 18 ( 82) Torrell Troup NT or Dorin Dickerson TE/WR/H-Back
