Ties in with the Comfort Food:

This doesn't need to be contained to just cereal either. Favorite "single dish" style of breakfast. (As in, a bowl of cereal for some people is breakfast. For others it's a doughnut and offee. So lay it on down.)

Cereal: I was big on Count Chockula as a kid (but it was a very rare treat.) Now, I love the "bagged" version of Golden Grahams. Can eat that as a snack or as it's own dish.

For doughnut/muffin/bread product: Boston Creme doughnut from Tim Hortons (w/ a Hot Chocolate since I don't drink coffee). Though I'm a big fan of Ego Waffles when I've only got 5 minutes before work to prepare something. (rub some real butter into it to hold the Powdered Sugar in place).

Hot Dish: I don't eat oatmeal/grits/or any of that other stuff. So it's a nogo from me.

Grape kool-aid (and other purple colored products) turn your poop green. Once each of my kids has gotten old enough to really understand what different colors mean, I'll tell them how green poop means they're really really sick....and then hose em down with Grape Kool-aid for a couple of days (mix grape in with another flavor/color combo).

Kids are so naive! :sofunny:

I like Dunkin Doughtnuts as much...but that's cuz I only go there for the pastries. :P Coffee drinkers prefer Tim Hortons.

I much prefer Tim Hortons over Dunkin Donuts, whether it be coffee, donuts, pastries, etc. Dunkin's donuts sit on the shelves most of the day but Tim Hortons donuts are always fresh and very tasty! :yummy: Plus - I love their soups and sandwiches! It has always been my dream to own a Tim Hortons franchise and bring it to the Burgh - guaranteed it would put Dunkin Donuts right out of business around here.

Lucky Charms were always my favorite, but I was never big on cold cereal.

Cranberry and Pomegranate oatmeal is one of my favorites as is Apple Cinnamon. My big thing when I was pregnant though was Ho Ho's. They were like crack to me in the AM.

Actually, I like Grape Nuts. You have to let it sit in the milk a couple of minutes...but I love the taste. :hunch:

My fav is cooked oatmeal with some chopped pecans, a handful of blueberries and some brown sugar and a little milk in it. Me and carbs don't get along, though.

Is it really necessary for me to answer this question? :chuckle:

Seriously though, as a kid I liked, Count Chocula, booberry, frankenberry (that was actually my favorite), Fruit loops, lucky charms, peanut butter captain crunch, coco puffs.

Now a days, its the honey bunches of oats varieties, can't take all the sugar anymore. Oh yeah and grape nuts does taste like dog food and yes, I've have eaten dog food. :sofunny:

Any of you countchocula, booberry, frankenberry fans remember yummy mummy and fruit brute?

However, all-time favorite and the one I always go back to...just plain old Life cereal.

my favorites are cocoa pebbles, cocoa puffs and fruit loops.

note: do not buy cereal in the grocery store. it's much cheaper to buy cereal at target.

i cant believe there arent more cocoa puffs fans. thats my favorite followed by cocoa crispies. the best chocolate milk in the world is that left over by these 2 cereals.

i also really like crispix followed by honey bunches of oats. golden grahams or smores is good too.

cheerio's, corn flakes, crunch berry... all delicious.

i like all cereal. but one of my favorites from the 80's they dont make no more (no, not smurfberry crunch which was good too) was waffle-o's. anyone remember them? i think they had a little cowboy yosemite sam type character for the mascot?

they should bring that bac, but now i think they got eggos cereal to replace it.

grape nuts are good too along with granola cereal.

Their coffee, Timbits & sandwiches are the best :applaudit: You're right, HTG - it would put Dunkin' Donuts out of business. I've got a friend in AZ who's a corporate trainer for Coldstone Creamery, and she told me that they've partnered with Tim Horton's here in the USA :applaudit:
