Georgia Tech’s Demaryius Thomas — projected to be one of the top receivers in the 2010 NFL Draft — broke his foot while working out Tuesday, NFL Network’s Mike Mayock has confirmed.
Thomas’ agent says it’s a clean break and will take four to six weeks to heal and rehabilitate. It’s unknown whether or not Thomas will be able to work out for anyone before the draft, including at next week’s NFL Scouting Combine, but his agent says the receiver will be ready for any team activities.
Thomas, who opted to forgo his senior season to enter the draft, had 46 receptions for 1,154 yards and eight touchdowns for Georgia Tech in 2009.
