Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed is expected to be in court today for charges stemming from an incident outside a bar near Heinz Field in October.

On Oct. 18, Reed was at McFadden's after a win over the Cleveland Browns.

At about 9 p.m., police in the area noticed teammate Matt Spaeth urinating beside a white SUV.

As officers approached Spaeth asking for identification, Reed got out of the passenger side of the SUV.

Police ordered him back into the car more than once, but Reed refused.

Then squaring up in front of a sergeant in a "fighting stance," Reed was wrestled to the ground and eventually cuffed. He was handed over to his father who was driving the white SUV.

Reed is facing four misdemeanor charges including, simple assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public drunkenness.

His hearing is scheduled to take place at 12:30 p.m.
