I would say you are both right.. Like Koopa said, the gold looks yellow... My school's cap and gown colours are black and gold this year for grad... I almost had a heart attack... EVERYTHING IS BLACK AND GOLD NOW.

the colors are Black & Gold but the Gold in paint would be a yellow color so...hope that helps.

My school colors were Blue and Gold.. but I don't know of many schools that claim yellow as a school color.. Just doesn't sound masculine enough.. So gold it is.. And our colors were pretty damn yellow if you ask me but gold it was to all our foes..
