Mike Williams? First overall? He would need someone to throw it to him first, wouldnt he? I mean, c'mon, even Trent Dilfer is better then Rattay or Ken Dorsey A.K.A throw the ball ten yards short :D

jersey, a little bored perhaps?

yeah i agree with brownie, they will take a QB and even if they did take a WR, it would be braylon edwards

I do have to ask the reason of getting Williams at #1 with the rule changes and him sitting out a year. Do you think they will take him now, then go local again with Matt next year? Has there ever been a same team duo like that in the pros? Also, I saw Kirwan article about number crunching in the draft about the diff between speed and quickness. One player I noticed was a Penn State LB that could move up the boards...just checked...Derek Wake. How about a spread on this guy to keep me entertained. I always get geeked up over these DE/LB guys we get. Too bad Adibi didn't work. I was so pumped when we got him cause all my friends go to VT and I knew the program.

the reason why i say him num1 is beacuse hes worth it the niners have drafted so many young WR that havent panned otu that many ppl think they wotn risk it again but with guy u know hes gonna work hes got great hands, this draft this eyar isnt full of the talent like next yera will be and the qb's this yera area joke there undersized and very raw.

my 2nd question is then why not take a wr in the 2nd round since its so deep at RB and WR and take a decent qb prospect 1st? If it doesn't work out then you might trade him as opposed to a wr?(this offseason, you have already seen average QB's make more money than above average WR's)

JerseySTEEL
03-27-2005, 02:22 AM
yes the RB and WR core are great this year and u need to get one in the 1st if u want soemoen ina upper level of talent and the qb's why waste a 1st roudner when u have 2 qb's that arnt that bad to start rattay threw a couple 400 yard games and got injuryed bc there line sucks, and witha WR could open up the run for barlow.

I just cant see us going TE on the first day, and not going DE on the first day. The TE pool isnt deep as it is this year, but still, you gotta think the FO will be going for DE, OL, and DB or WR on day 1.

I could be wrong, but I guess we'll see what happens in FA for he next month or so.

I agree with Blitz, again. I would love to see a great hands TE, But I don`t know if its worth a late 1st. Not the way we use TE

JerseySTEEL

the only TE worht a 1st or 2nd rounder is miller. and as for the DE there isnt much of a deep feild of them either theres about 5 guys who can start for a nfl team, and out of those 5 most will get picked before our late 1st rounder and the rest either have injury probs os is very raw . i know Von is gettign older and costign us alot next year and we should get rid of him for money his back uo filled in great for him last year but hes also in his 10th season, i would pick up am DE late in this draft bc of the talent . Plus we picked up a DE last year in the draft late and see how those guys dev.

1 Marcus Spears 6'4" 300 - doesnt have much speed and can be inmatrue
2 Shawne Merriman* 6'4" 245 - after combine tests is the 1st on most teams boards for DE
3 David Pollack 6'3" 280 - very good De but will be gone by our pick
4 Matt Roth 6'4" 265 - LB/DE and dont know if we want to try anthior one like jackson
5 Dan Cody 6'5" 265 - this kid would be a steal at 30th pick but he prob wont fall that low
6 Erasmus James 6'3" 263 - inmatureand doenst have much size
7 Justin Tuck 6'5" 245 - very very fast but needs to bulk up and isnt worth our 1st
8 Jovan Haye* 6'3" 280 under sized and isnt fast enought
9 George Gause 6'5" 270 - a lb/DE again dot know how we fell about them since jackson
10 Chris Canty 6'6" 290 - hes fats and goos size but has a knew injury.

i think that 49ers will take either rodgers or smith for 1st pick and then in the 2nd round they pick up a solid good WR like chris henry or something

JerseySTEEL
03-29-2005, 12:58 AM
well the qb's this year are a shame if soem one does get them in the 1st they will be bustes and arnt starters! henray is not a complete Wr hes inmature and never gives 100%.

HinesWard4Life8682
03-29-2005, 11:00 AM
yeah ur right, but now everything seems a little bit clearer. Blitz just wrote in about how they might get rivers for the 1st pick by trading it off. he has some experiecne by watchin brees and hes better than any of those. Now the QB spot, chris henry i think is the best one that will be available, he has speed and big play ability

JerseySTEEL
03-29-2005, 04:37 PM
have u any idea about henry? he got suspended from his team twice anf was also thrown out of a game forconduct, he cna play has good handss but not htat fast there callign this kid more of a a baby then randy moss hell go in the 2nd to the 3rd not in the 1st! bezt WR in order

1 Mike Williams 6'5" 228
