last year the sb was covered by fox. the closest fox broadcasting transmission tower had been hit by lightning, or something, during the night and all of southern new mexico had no superbowl pre game coverage! it looked like the sb was gonna be nothing but snow! i thought riots were gonna break out, and there was a nervous tension throughout the whole town. people didnt know what to do with themselves and it looked like hundereds of parties were about to be ruinned. about an hour before kickoff you could see it was getting fixed cause the picture would appear then fuzz out. the problem was fixed about 30 minutes till kick off.

thank you abc for carrying the steelers this year. (only fox has this problem around here)

We just had a major windstorm out here in Washington with gusts in some areas up to 70mph. Lots of power out in rural areas. Lots of people buying generators.

But does cable work still work even if you are running a generator? I don't know if it needs electricity to power routers in each nieghborhood.

I hope for the poor power company guys sake they can get their work done and be able to watch the game.

I work for the cable company and we have amplifiers that feed the nodes and mini bridgers throughout the neighborhoods and those amplifiers are powered by .. you guessed it.. electricity.. If the power goes out.. say goodbye to the cable.. We have outages all the time due ot amps losing power.. Idaho power comes out fixes the power.. cable comes back on.. Sucks but maybe make sure you got a battery powered tv and some good rabbit ears for back up..

if you've ever seen a tape of it or remember it, during the Patriots-Raiders snow game the CBS feed cut out for a few moments during the OT. i thought i was going to die.
