Boldin looking forward to playing Steelers
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2010/03/boldin_looking_forward_to_playing_steelers.html

Even before he has put on a Ravens uniform, wide receiver Anquan Boldin already shares the same feelings as his new teammates and fans -- a dislike for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Im seeking a little revenge on Pittsburgh, Boldin said. They beat us in the Super Bowl, so Im looking forward to that matchup."

Boldin played in the Super Bowl two seasons ago, when the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Steelers.

In the Super Bowl, Boldin caught eight passes for 84 yards. In his only other game against the Steelers (which came in 2003), he had eight receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Great. Ryan Clark can welcome him into the rivalry.

Yeah. Whatever. The rats think boldin and stallworth entitle them to a Lombardi. We've faced much better receiver/QBs and won.

That is why they play the games.

If the defense is healthy, i'll be looking forward to this matchup the upcoming year.

They do? Really? Thanks for the head's-up!

The Ravens think having Boldin, Stallworth and (hopefully) Mason running routes for Flacco will vasty improve their downfield game, but no one is saying they are entitled to the VL Trophy.

Last year's WR corps- Mason/Clayton/Washington

This year's WR corps- Boldin/Mason/Stallworth

They don't catch jack if we can get to Flacco. Besides, Boldin isn't used to paying for every catch.

Looks like the Ravens finally realized they needed some real passing threats if they want a shot a championship, the defense isn't good enough to carry them like they did in the early part of the decade.

It'll be interesting to see if they'll still be a running team primarly, last year they really only passed successfully against scrub defenses.

That is one hell of an o-line in baltimore. Joe's a rising star, and the receiving corp is all of a sudden quite good (Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, Todd Heap, Donte Stallworth, Ray Rice). And the run game speaks for itself. Id say they're loaded.

Eh. They'll be OK. The offense is better, but I still don't see it as explosive or stellar. The defense still seems to be in a gradual decline.

Oh well, at least they're assured of leading the league in most players who have killed someone. Have there ever been more than two on the same team? Someone should look that up.

Be careful of what ya wish for Boldin!!! You might get more than you want, we have the hardest hitting Safety tandem in the league and a healthy front 7.

It's not like he's never gone up against the Steelers.

So let me get this straight.

So in order for him to get revenge on the Steelers, he had to change teams? Now that he has changed teams, he will talk smack?
Now his QB is still named Flacco, right? Has he watched Flacco's game tapes? Did the Ravens never tape the part where Flacco is choking and gagging and trying to get whatever he swallowed during the gameS out of his throat?

He may be able to catch the ball, but he needs to worry about the ball getting to him, and maintaining his health, which is not always reliable, lol

Worse yet we didn't upgrade our defensive backfield. Thankfully Stallworth isn't really that good
