Vickers is a blocking FB.

I think Hillis is more of a guy to pound the rock.

Pretty sad to see Quinn to go out this way, at the very he least he can say he beat the Steelers though.

 good call...

many steelerfans have tried to erase that pick from their memories.

looks like you guys will be moving up for bradford or claussen with delhomme to groom them for a year or 2.

delhomme will suck... the fans will cry for the rookie.... mgmt will submit.... the rookie will be ruined....

good to see everything is right on course for the browns.

(seriously i doubt holmgren will screw it up as bad as the browns typically screw it up, but he is exposed to that lake water now.)

If Delhomme fails there's always Seneca Wallace.

Hoping we go with Dez Bryant or Eric Berry (if he's still there) with that first pick.

Was never impressed with Clausen in college and from all reports is pretty arrogant...Not a Mangini type of guy.

Bradford? eh. Would rather the Browns draft Hiller or LeFevour in the 3rd to 5th rounds. Or Joey Elliot as well, more of an under the radar guy.

Delhomme / Wallace = Dilfer / Frye

Quinn kicked to the curb = another 1st rd QB bust - Browns fanboyz must be losing it for giving up their heart throb for a bag of chips

The Titanic has a new crew and captain, but it's still the Titanic.

Schefter twitter - Last year the Browns could have had Jay Cutler for Brady Quinn.

And Jay Cutler had such a great year for the Bears last year. :coffee:

Quinn will go to Denver and dominate.

Why's that...because he's so accurate with the ball...oh yeah...wait a second. Quinn sucks.

I'm far more miffed about the Browns signing Jake Delhomme (Derek Anderson's father???) than I am about trading Quinn for next to nothing.

I wonder if the Browns don't use Hillis as backup FB and short yardage specialist. Rumor has it the kid has decent hands...and with Watson tossed into the package, the Browns could actually have options when it's 3rd and short or 1st and Goal.

and if not the lake water, a nice staph infection, at the very least. :wink02: :chuckle:

Everybody's picking on the Browns

Quinn's short tenure in Cleveland just another QB failure for Browns

And so the Brady Quinn era ends with a whimper in Cleveland, roughly the same way it did for Derek Anderson, Charlie Frye, Trent Dilfer, Jeff Garcia, Kelly Holcomb and Tim Couch before him. There was much promise and fanfare upon arrival, but only an air of failure and disappointment as he made his exit.

As trends go, I cannot fathom a bigger dead-end job in the NFL than playing quarterback for the Browns over the past 10 years or so. No quarterback ever leaves Cleveland with their reputation burnished and their future looking bright. They depart as damaged goods

You're forgetting...Quinn sucked with the Browns. After that, it's anybody's guess, but I bet many Browns fans, in the typical negative-speak that we so often hear are saying "Watch, he'll go to another team & win a SuperBowl"
And this quote from Killer's article-"They've got to tear down a few walls and hope they can rebuild something stronger and more long-lasting." Doesn't this sound all too familiar?
