It's not the schedule release that most fans want to see, but the NFL will reveal a slate of game times on Wednesday.

The league will release its preseason schedule on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET.

The kickoff for the preseason schedule is already known. The Bengals will play the Cowboys in the annual Hall of Fame game on Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio.

Highlights of the regular-season schedule were expected to be announced last week at the owners' meetings. But the league said it was not ready yet, and had to postpone the announcements.

The full schedule typically is released in early-to-mid April, but the NFL has not yet said when it will reveal this year's slate. -- Sean Leahy

Do we have some kind of agreement with Carolina? We play them in the preseason every freaking year. It's nice to see a couple of new faces in the preseason, though (NYG, DEN).

The steelers will play at Denver in a preseason game.

I think it's going to be the 3rd game of the pre-season and thats always the match or the starters play the most

It is a bad idea for nfl,if you think about ryan clark:doh:

Cannot believe anyone is actually excited about preseason games. They are a joke and a waste of time. I wish they would cut these in half.

It wasn't a waste of time for Willie Parker or Legursky or all of the unknown players we have drafted. I'm going to be doing some scouting myself I don't care about the names I care about the team. Its entertainment and a good distraction from what the other distractions our franchise players have created regardless of its outcome. I came to a giants Jets preseason game last year and saw about 1000 steeler fans wearing jerseys. Imagine when the boys come to town. Its definitely going to gear me up for this season.

I'm just happy to able to see Big Ben and Dixon out there. I think this calls for a Mendy jersey.

When do tickets become available for preseason? I don't think I'll make it out to Pittsburgh this year, but I think the preseason tickets would be a little more affordable and much less of a drive.

I dont know about an agreement but I like it being about 3 hours west of Charlotte and the Carolina Panthers. I love the fact that I have an opportunity every other year to see the Steelers that close to home.
