Eric Berry i guess. The BPA would be Suh, but he's better suited to the 4-3 defense, and Berry is phenomenal, yet still fills a position of need.

No question, Okung.

If we were willing to give that much up for a giant risk (namely, an obscene amount of guaranteed money) on a completely unproven top 5 pick who may or may not pan out, I say we just pony up the cash to extend Santo to begin with.

:applaudit: Great post G!!

You are one of the few that understands that having a top 3 pick in the draft is not a reward, but a financial penalty for being a crappy team.....and that penalty involves spending big $$ on unproven players that might be the next Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, Dan Wilkinson, Courtney Brown, etc.

IF we did this (and we won't...ever), Okung, without question. You can't go BPA with the #2 overall pick. We seem to never be in the position to draft blue chip OL*, and if we were we'd need to pull the trigger on this...

*In the last few years the top OL have been gone by time we picked, and the available guys were a reach at their positions.
