NEW YORK (AP) The NFL says it will release the 2010 regular-season schedule Tuesday night.

Usually, the schedule is announced in late March or early April, but several adjustments are being made this year.

The league wants as many divisional games as possible in the final two weeks, hoping it makes late-season matchups more meaningful and prevents teams that have clinched playoff berths from resting starters.

The season will open with the now-traditional Thursday night game hosted by the Super Bowl champions. The New Orleans Saints' opponent has not been announced yet, either.

If Roethlisberger is suspended 4 games, the NFL will put the games between the jets and the steelers in Sunday night Week 5:coffee::doh:

I predict it's going to be the Sunday night Week 5

The odds are even better than its happens if Ben is suspended 4 games.

AMEN to that!! Let's talk about the other 53 or so players. HOW BOUT THAT HOLMES?:tt04:
Went and got himself traded.
Next for the important questions. How's Aaron doing? What about Troy's knee? Can we talk about the draft and who we play this upcoming season.

Is Limas gonna show up this year? I think he is and that played a part in the decision to axe Holmes.

Remember the FO does some strange stuff (looks that way anyway) until it all works out.

dont think we can because of the pirates

It can happen because week 1 for the Saints would be the first game of the season, in New Orleans on the Thursday opener of kickoff weekend.

I think it will be the Vikings vs Saints on Thursday Night .

On another note , the NFL Schedule last year ( I could be wrong ) was released at 2:00pm and then the NFL Network and ESPN had their " Schedule Release " shows that night .

The league has announced that the 2010 regular-season schedule will be released on April 20.

The league made the announcement earlier today that the 2010 NFL regular-season schedule will be announced on Tuesday, April 20 at 7:00pm on NFL.com.

Do you think they'll release it on Tuesday just so we all can look at it and think, "What are they Smoking?"

What?!? A thread that isn't about Ben or Cheech...I mean Santonio?!?! This is MADNESS!!! Madness? THIS. IS. PITTSBURGH!!!!!

Sorry, 300 mode off.

Yeah, I'm really pleased with our opponents, to be honest. However, I am kind of wondering who will be those first 4 - 6 matchups (in the event of a Ben suspension). Awww crap. I brought it up. Apologies.

Next week will hopefully be a week to comfort us die-hards for all the crap we've put up with so far in this off season. Schedule on Tuesday, Draft starting on Thursday. Here we go Steelers, HERE WE GO!!!

Nope, I don't see that happening.

All teams in the league are allowed the maximum of 5 primetime games, if chosen, and I predict that the Steelers will have those 5 due to the popularity of the team.

I'm hoping that the majority of those games given to the Steelers, will come on Monday night - nothing beats the Steelers on MNF.

I'm interested though to see what the beginning of the schedule will be and how that will factor into how many games Ben might be suspended.

If that decision is up to the Rooney's, instead of Goodell, seeing the schedule will surely factor in.

They ain't dummies afterall.
