As Ben will be suspended, that would be your starting QB for the first game of the season?

I want Dixon, but i think the organization is going to go with the vet so i voted Batch.

I'll go with Dixon. I'm too afraid Batch might break something the first time he takes a snap. :chuckle:

As long as Batch is the #2 it'll be Batch.

Everything that I've read says that Dixon is #2 and he's the one that should start if Ben is suspended.

Truer words we're never spoken. But, who will be the #2 is kind of what we're debating.

If you were to ask me if Rashard would score on any given run, I could answer: "If he doesn't get tackled, run out of bounds, and nobody gets called for a penalty, he'll get a TD"

I think almost every sign points to Dixon. I think everyone considers him our #2. Plus the only way to develop the kid is to give him a few starts. He's also versatile - a defenses worst enemy is a mobile QB.

let's go DIXONNNN

I know the Steelers all too well after following them for so long. I think Batch will get the nod to start the season if Ben is not there. Just a hunch. Although I totally disagree with it. I don't think they should have re-signed him. It is time for him to hang up the cleats.

Look at it this way - he'll go down with a broken (insert bone/limb/appendage of choice here) inside of 3 snaps and Dixon will be thrust into the starter's role anyway.

batch of course. if no, then why even have him on the roster? IMO, backups should be veteran QBs, not 5th-round rookies who will most likely be a journeyman.

I picked Dixon for three reasons:

1st) I want the team to come together even more by rallying around a young quarterback

2nd) Maybe it will force the team to run more so as to put less pressure on Dixon

3rd) Would be good for Dixon to pick up some experience from where he left off last year.

I have to say Dixon we need to get him in there and let him have some playing time. He is not going to learn the system on the bench.

Camp will sort this out but I voted Dixon because I think he goes in as the #2. IMHO he'll beat out Charlie for that spot.

Without a doubt - Dixon.

I was hoping they wouldn't resign Batch and pick up Lefty again as I always felt totally comfortable with him behind center when Ben was out.

As long as he doesn't sprain his wrist doing it...

Dixon. I liked what I saw of him last year even though it was only for a limited amount of time.

How about we let Batch play QB and Dixon play WR, since we traded away #10??
