View Full Version : My Final Mock

With the draft coming up in around 12 hours this will be my last shot at this draft for the Steelers.

1. OG Mike Iupati 6'5 330 lbs Idaho
This guy is the Best OG prospect in years in my opinion and he Could still be around at this point, but it will suprise me in many ways for sure. With the suspension of Ben the Steelers are gonna have to be alot better in the running game and this guy would be a Large Improvement on the Right side of the offensive line.

2. DB Kareem Jackson 5'10 198 lbs Alabama
The Steelers most likely would have to move up to get Jackson, but he is flying up most of the experts boards. I think he would be worth moving up for.

3. WR Jordan Shipley 5'11 193 lbs Texas
In my opinion this guy is gonna be the next Wes Welker. I know that alot of you here in this forrum is not gonna agree with taking a WR this early or at all for some of you, but if this guy is still around in the 3rd I think the Steelers will be getting a steal in the 3rd.

4. ILB Donald Butler 6'1 245 lbs Washington
This guy could just be the answer to replace Farrior in the next season or two. He makes plays and if he lasts this long he would be a great pick for the Steelers.

5. DT Al Woods 6'4 310 lbs LSU
This young man has a little troubled past and maybe that means the Steelers dont even consider him, but no one is perfect and this guy is a beast in the Run Game and is a very good tackler.. Not hardly as big or heavy as the Steelers usually like the DT's but I think he would be a good fit.

5. OT Kyle Calloway 6'6 323 lbs Iowa
Big guy that would stand tall with the Steelers and it would give them depth at a needy position.

5. RB LaGarrette Blount 6'0 240 lbs Oregon
Yeh, he had some trouble at Oregon but the guy was taking up for a teammate . . not pickin' up on the ladies at the local night club.

6. DE C.J. Wilson 6'3 290 lbs East Carolina
45 Tackles For Loss and 27 Sacks in his 4 year career at ECU. . . shows he spends quiet a bit of time in the opponents backfield and the Steelers would mind having that.

7. QB Zac Robinson 6'3 214 lbs Oklahoma State
This young man put up Great numbers his Sophomore and Junior years and kind of slipped a little last season but the talent around him wasnt the same. He could be suprise this late and could definitely give the Steelers another arm for Camps to come.

I love and totally argee with the jackson, shipley, and butler picks.
Butler has been on my list for awhile now who i want the steelers to pick and would be a great value in round 4.
Shipley i was thinking about the other day hes got great hands and could play our slot wr for years he will be special.
Jackson is going to be a good cb in the nfl and would be a good fit for the steelers because he played in a nfl 3-4 style Defense at bama. But you are right we would have to probably move up to get him.

Great Mock lets hope for the best

Thanks alot man. Now that I have chosen Iupati in the 1st round he will never be selected by us though . . . lol I really think that if the Steelers are gonna get Kareem Jackson they might even have to trade back into the latter part of round 1 to get him.
I just hope we dont trade Ben and keep him around and he can straighten his life out and be the Man that he needs to be.

Nice Mock but Jackson will be gone. You missed 2 5th round picks and I like Zac in the 7th.

Yeah you missed one 5th round pick.

I do not like Iupati, Robinson or Woods (as you said yourself not the size needed for a good NT).

Also you did not address the OLB need...you picked an ILB..a position we have 4 players at right now...though i wouldnt mind another ILB...if we're only going to take one LB in the draft (we you did in yours) i HAS to be an OLB...we have no depth there.

I do not like Iupati, Robinson or Woods (as you said yourself not the size needed for a good NT).

You havent got to be 340 lbs to play NT dude. I think the guy would do fine.
