The Beatles hit number one with their single "Let it Be" 40 years ago in April....

Wow. TIme flies but The Beatles are timeless imo...

I loved them growing up and still do.

Any other Beatles fans?

Favorite song?

My favorite is "Blackbird".

I put the White Album on for an ex who grew up mennonite - she had never heard more than a few Beatles songs (yellow submarine, Hey jude). She was trying to guess who it was - she thought it was brand new. "This sounds like _____?" It was crazy. She kept saying it sounded like they were trying to copy another band but she couldn't place it. So funny.

I love the Beatles. The best song depends on my mood - sometimes I can't listen to them for awhile either, then I go back and it's almost like it's new again.

Wow, hard to pick a favorite. I'd have to narrow it down to Yesterday, Across the Universe and Strawberry Fields.

I LOVE the Beatles. I'm 28 so it's definitely before my time, but I lucked out and have a dad who loves them. Needless to say, I grew up hearing a lot of Beatles songs. I don't have one favorite song but I'm picking Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and no, it's not because of the whole LSD story. I just think 1: It's a weird, but great sounding song, and 2: I love painting the picture of the lyrics when I hear it. You know...... Picture yourself in a boat, on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you. You answer quite slowly. A girl with kaleidoscope eyes....... Pure..... Awesome!

Exactly, their music is so diverse that it never gets old for me.

Have you ever played one of their songs on any instrument? It's almost always bound to be a butcher job - but a guilty pleasure if you have any musical talent.

Very cool thought Leftover, but admittedly, I have no muscial talent whatsoever.

What instrument do you play?
