Pittsburgh Post Gazette: 4/1/05

Pittsburgh: The Pittsburgh Steelers signed their first star free agent of the year. Earlier today Ty Laws agent and manager were working out a 3 year, 9 million dollar contract. With a 2 miilion dollar signing bonus due contingent on Law passing a physical, as well he must make the team. Law was on a short vacation in California at the time, but is due to arrive in Pittsburgh Sunday. "This is a piece of the puzzle we`ve been missing for a while now" Coach Cowher said, "Ty is a difference maker, and a champion, we are lucky to sign him"

This is great deal.

04-02-2005, 12:22 AM
Omfg I Got So Happy Why U Gotta Do That Cleve

04-02-2005, 02:49 AM
You had me believing it, then I read the other posts!

04-02-2005, 08:33 AM
I opened the site, and saw that, and thought, holy bleep. I had pictures of you beating us with Law back there picking off passes. Well, if Law can get healthy again, who ever gets him will be lucky. He's a real competitor.

04-02-2005, 08:57 AM
I think he got everybody on this board for atleast a split second !! :toofunny:

04-02-2005, 01:09 PM
i know he made it sound so real too with the exact money and everything

04-02-2005, 05:53 PM
damn i was just thinking i just talked to you eailer today and you didn't mention anything about that.

04-03-2005, 11:16 PM
that cleve is a sneaky one.. we gotta watch out for him!! :bouncy:

04-04-2005, 01:37 AM
I just watched Law show his house on MTV cribs and remembered I got suckered into checking out the thread. So thirsty for Steeler info in the offseason!:mail:

04-04-2005, 02:41 PM
if we're lucky, he'll have to relocate to Steel town soon!

04-04-2005, 03:02 PM
Sweet, Cribs in the Burgh!

04-04-2005, 05:45 PM

I seen that episode. It was hilarious! While Ty Law was taking MTV on a tour of his home they all followed him outside where he layed in his hammock. It SNAPED and he fell right on the ground!!!

04-04-2005, 07:12 PM
so THAT's how he initially hurt his foot..then he finished the deal in Pittsburgh by limping off the field.. I get it now :toofunny:

04-04-2005, 07:14 PM
He faked the injury in the Burgh, didn`t want to get shown up by Big ben, was hoping for an interview here, and knew it would look bad on his resume

04-04-2005, 07:32 PM
well yeah, a pro bowler getting eaten alive by a rookie QB...yeah its no wonder !! :D

04-04-2005, 08:04 PM
"He faked the injury in the Burgh, didn`t want to get shown up by Big ben"

The only fake in that game was your victory.

04-04-2005, 08:21 PM
Aw come on. You won the big one, and we can admit that, So admit you got your assed kicked the first game. Don`t continue to be such a chump. I give you your props when your right. So be a man, and gives us props when deserved.

04-05-2005, 12:10 AM
Boston fans can't do that Cleve. That's how they are.

04-05-2005, 02:16 AM
yep, post like crazy for one year or so, then hide for 85-100 years. Being a Boston fan: sad price to pay.

04-05-2005, 12:27 PM
Steeler fan: "He faked the injury in the Burgh, didn`t want to get shown up by Big ben"

Patriot fan: "The only fake in that game was your victory."

Hey, what's the diff? Both statements are BS. You think you can get a BS license in Pitt., but we can't in Boston?

04-05-2005, 12:46 PM
You know seriously, I'm just here to have a little fun, share football stories, and try and get through the dry season. We've known since this team started turning around under Parcells that we most likely will have to beat Pittsburgh in order to go all the way. I'm not here out of disrespect. I'm here out of respect. There are three top teams in the NFL right now. The Patriots, the Panthers, and the Steelers.

04-05-2005, 01:28 PM
see, now thats what we like to hear.. nobody said you ever have to like the Steelers..but if you dont, we think you're nuts :D ..but its all good, if u wanna talk trash, we can back it up, and you seen to be able to take it and dish it out, so dont sweat it, ur cool.

you gonna hang around when the season starts too?

04-05-2005, 02:00 PM
"you gonna hang around when the season starts too?"

Of course, that's when the fun begins.

04-05-2005, 03:35 PM
Fun for us! I hope.

04-07-2005, 01:16 AM
Ne fan: Much respect brother. Now I'm proud we only had one loss in the regular season, but had we lost to the Pats too, then I would have thought we were over rated. Not too proud to let other teams know we view them as a measuring stick.

04-08-2005, 12:12 AM
The pats are the measuring stick for the whole leauge..I'd agree w/ chef !!!

04-08-2005, 02:55 PM
Yes the measuring stick, and you have to beat the best , to be the best. Now we are ready to take the stick, and turn it into a paddle, and whoop up on pats fan, and pats

04-08-2005, 06:22 PM
damn straight cleve !!!

now one more question.. how in the hell is this april fools thread still going so strong when ty law hasnt been the topic of converstation since a couple pages ago :toofunny:

never say we dont improvise... :D :D

04-08-2005, 09:23 PM
Blitz, you took the words right out of my mouth, I was just thinking when I logged on that everytime I come back there a new reply.
Whatever it takes to keep talking Steelers,
