The longest Steelers pass I've seen not including YAC has to be the pass from Ben to Santonio in the Unstoppable video. It is about 51 and 1/2 yards since it seems to go from the 50 and 1/2 to 1 yard or more into the endzone.

Do you have a longer one? If so please share.

Note to moderator: Video just an example...not the main point. The main point is to find the longest Steelers pass so this does not need to be moved to the videos only section.

I will check but I think Mark Malone owns that record.

Yes I was correct the longest pass play in Steeler History is 90 yards Terry Bradshaw to Mark Malone. Another Slash QB. :chuckle:.

I'm looking for airtime (showing a strong accurate arm), not YAC because that could depend on a number of factors (bad defense etc.)

OK that will very hard to find because you would have to remember the game personally. This should be interesting.

I know you said no YAC, but one that comes to mind, is Kordell's 91 yard touchdown pass to Bobby Shaw against Baltimore in 2001 to win the division on Sunday Night. I'll neve forget that play. A beauty.

It was a nice play but that one didn't even require an arc. lol

Yeah. You are right. You would have had to see the game or a video because the stats include YAC.

It might turn out that that Ariona pass is the pretiest and longest pass. One can't go much further than 51 and 1/2 yards.

I know this is the Steelers section but has anyone seen a pass by any QB, any team that was longer than that? (again not counting YAC).

If you are looking for the longest pass in the air from a QB this Randell Cunningham pass may be it he was in the end zone and the receiver caught it on the opposing teams 43 or 41 yard line making it at least 58 yard throw. I am sure some one may have a longer one but you will have to search hard as there are not records for longest pass thrown without the run included.

How about this one? (As far as Steeler plays, not NFL plays)

That was a great one it brings back memories. I posted the non-Steeler pass because a question was posed of the longest of any team. Check Stainless Steels post.

Yeah. Nice one. I think to avoid confusion, I should have called it "Longest Throw".

I tried to do a search and it said 83 yards from Meredith to Hayes but I won't believe it until I see it.

Nice one. That's a classic. I must rule it about 50 yards (1-51). I understand the bobbling is what makes it special.
