..."Steelers jersey ever retired."

This was on the Afternoon Blitz on NFL satellite radio.

Are we retiring another Jersey after all these years? #36? Anyone hear anything?

I love Bettis but many greats have played for the Blck & Gold, I wouldn`t put him at the top of my retired jersey list

The rest of the "retired" ones just aren't issued anymore... although I've been told 31 is being worn by somebody right now.

Donnie Shell...:dang: Shell was a member of the Steel Curtain defense in the 1970s.He also won four Super Bowls, and retired as the NFL strong safety career leader in interceptions with 51. He started 11 straight years for the Steelers and was selected to the Steelers All-Time Team, the College Football Hall of Fame, and to the NFL Silver Anniversary Super Bowl Team.He was also a five time Pro Bowler between 1978 and 1982 and was the Steelers team MVP in 1980 and damn near made the Hall of Fame in 2001(top 15).....:helmet:

Do you think Philly finally understand who the world thinks of when the words Pennsylvania and Football are mentioned in the same sentence?
