I enjoyed reading some of the posts on Sanders facebook. It makes you feel like that's what America should be all about.

There were no race issues or politics issues...just a bunch of people from all different backgrounds, ages, walks of life all being encouraging and supportive.

It feels very idealistic American. I wish society could be like that all the time.

I like his mature fan friendly attitude too...compare that to Holmes twitter site which isn't what you really want kids to emulate. Don't get me wrong. Holmes was nice on his Twitter (except when he said later it was hijacked...which I don't believe) but he was about as mature as a sixth grader.

Still...I'm sure Holmes inspired some kids from the "Muck" but for the general population, his antics were less than steller. I was already annoyed with the antics and drama after every single catch so all the off the field issues became too much. I appreciate what he did for the Steelers and I hope his new life brings him a new start but I prefer the image Sanders, Wallace, Pouncey and the rest of them give off (and they are younger).

Go Sanders...

You do know Sanders was suspended for 2 games in college for having a Plexico Burress poster on his Wall, while Mocking his carrying a gun. And SERIOUSLY defending Burress as well. You do know that right ? Hopefully Sanders has changed, and has stopped cheering and emulating " Gangsta " scumbag WR's like Plex.

I did not know that but kids will be kids if he decided to laugh at Plex. I was myself saying Plex was lucky his leg was the only thing that got shot (considering what was there). How would having a Plex poster get you suspended? I don't think Plex is really a hardened thug.

Sanders seems to have a fun, playful spirit. He's no Pacman. lol

That is not true. He was suspended 2 games because of strict rules imposed by new smu coach June jones in order to assert his authority over a bad team. It was a means of calling out Emmanuel for leadership purposes, and Emmanuel responded as a true leader and broke all smu records. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/stories/111309dnsposmulede.3b4b4c7.html
check your sources before you make statements about people. Number 88 has a good head on his shoulders and we are lucky to have him as a steeler.

Emmanuel Sanders is why I joined this forum. I'm a Cowboys fan who lives in Dallas and went to school at SMU and had a couple classes with the guy. He was such a great player here and so easy to cheer for. I wish him the very best of success for the Steelers.

That's great to hear. He is showing he can rap, dance, have fun and still be nice and not a thug gangsta.

Yeah. I'm happy about it but I want one of them to win #3 WR.

That site is so cool. It just feel "American". You have a lady sending pictures from Mexico

It's great to see we have fans there too.

I just wish America was like this site where there is no race, religion etc. and that we all support each other as long as we have the same interests. No phoniness and hidden resentments. It is just a great feeling. Maybe there needs to be other things besides sports that people can agree on and support each other through. There have to be things that bond us as a nation.

One day it will be like that site in real life. Go America. Go Steelers.
