McHough the only slight surprise so far. I look for Thorton and Jolly to be signed to the PS.

not really , he hasn't distance himself from johnson talent wise, and they get johnson at a cheaper price ...:noidea:

Thats why I am only slightly surprised. To be honest, I was holding out hope that DJ and McHough would make the team over Spaeth.

mchugh doesnt stand a shot in hell even remotely replacing miller in the passing game if he goes down.

spaeth can atleast run a route and catch a pass.

If thats true about Urbik, what a screw up made by us drafting him! Can he really be worse than Essex or anyone else on our line? He was supposed to be a bruiser and run pusher wasn't he? Who got that evaluation wrong on him when he can't even earn a spot with our weak OL?

Urbik has been a bum from day 1 - good riddance - I'd rather keep Foster and Hills and Legursky anyway

It's funny how many O lineman The Steelers could have had instead of Urbick are playing well for their teams...but quite a few people on this board defended the pick....Steelers need to start focusing on the O line...i still don't understand why 20 Linebackers and 19 WR's were drafted with weaknesses at Guard and Tackle and Center

wouldnt drafting urbick with their 2nd overall pick be considered focusing on the line? how bout pouncey with their first?

its also funny how many teams didnt hire larry pornlein to coach their offensive line this season.

If every team would just follow Mel Kiper, none of this shit would happen.

He said second pick. He said nothing about which round...

No real surprises - I suppose McHugh might be considered slightly surprising, but since he was a TE being used some of the time and half-heartedly as a Full Back by an OC that doesn't like full backs, I guess the writing was on the wall.

i was hearing good things about Urbik which is why im surprised he is cut. hopefully we keep Hills and Foster. Hills is looking really good and Foster should move into the starting role. Essix is one of the worst guards starting in the NFL and should be on the bench. there isnt a backup on our team that can possibly play worse

Soooo....they needed a fortune teller to tell them that Antoine Caldwell would have been a better interior Lineman than Urbick and just maybe they should have gone in that direction, had they held onto their second round pick? i guess they are cheap bastards...

And now that the nit picking is finished....better choices could have still been made....
