steelersdepot puts out a great chart for study. whats cool is with one glance you can easilly see which defensive players played the entire game. you can also see trends and habits.

a few things of note-

farrior and timmons played the entire game. neither one needed subbed with foote.

you would think the steelers would keep atleast aaron smith AND/OR keisel on the field at all times. taking them both off would water down the defense, right? the exact opposite was true in the 2nd half. ziggy and eason seemed to be a package deal. they each came in 3 times for 3 plays each time, while both aaron and brett got a 3 snap breather.

very interesting. check it out-

Same here, but regardless i noticed Ziggy got quite a few reps, and seemed to hold his own on the plays I noticed. This will go a long way towards keeping the defense fresh for four quarters.

Yeah, I thought Timmons and Hood were the two most dominant looking players on our defense last Sunday (besides the obvious Aaron Smith and Polamalu). Both of them were all up in the Falcon's backfield for most of the game.

If last week's play is any indication, those of us that have been drooling to see Timmons' breakout season might get what we have been waiting for this season.

Awesome chart by the way, I've never seen one of those before.

i agree. he also did them for all preseason games (for offense and defense).

it was really helpful to see which fringe players were getting what snaps and when.

you can find links for those games in above link as well.
