I'm tempted too give one to the whole team, solid effort all the way around.

It's tough. Batch, Wallace, and Mendenhall all come to mind immediately since they all did great.

Game ball this season is a lot like looking at the dessert menu. How DO you choose?

Batch probably even surprised himself today...the QB gods were long the Steelers today. Mendenhall protected the ball. Ike Taylor shows us AGAIN why is isn't on offense. David Johnson again with a key block on a long Mendie run. Many breaks went our way. How great to see Keisel get into the endzone.

So many good things from so many on the roster I know I'm forgetting dozens.

Game Ball: Mike Tomlin

Charlie ****ING Batch. PERIOD.

I wouldn't argue with this. Sentimentally a hands down choice.

****ING BRAVO CHARLIE!!!

+1000

When your 3rd-4th string qb throws for almost 200 yards, three scores, and a 100+ passer rating, how do you not?

GOOO CHARLIE GOO GOOO!!!! CHARLIE BE GOOD!

Charlie Batch, easily. He got the job done, and put the ball there. Finally, an offensive breakout. Beautiful win fellas!

NEXT: BALTIMORE (who's looking like complete guano!)

Cleveland was my upset special this week. They ALMOST got it done...

Definitely Charlie Batch.

Can't wait til next week. The Browns hung tough with the Ratbirds. Cincy looked piss-poor as well.

I'll go Mendy today.
Batch was good, not great. Honestly, he got away with a couple of throws.
2 picks could have cost us in a closer game.
Don't get me wrong, I think he played great for a backup QB. But if that had been Ben's stat line today, no way he gets the gameball with that play.

Definitely Mendenhall...143 yards and 7.5 per carry is just BEAST!

Batch and Wallace certainly did well today, but two INT's kept me from picking Batch.

I was going to give it to Ike but I figured he wouldn't hold on to it anyway. No seriouosly, I give to to a total team effort.

No one wanted to give Batch a chance. They should have. I've been silently hoping that he would get his chance since day one - no one wanted to hear it. And after the rust came off, my god did that man ever shine!

I'm going Charlie Batch...though I didn't like that last interception. Before that one, I was wondering if the Steelers might keep him and let Leftwich go when Ben comes back. Now I don't know.

i would say O-Line. Batch had all day back there and Mendy/Redman always had a lane to run through.

I'd give it to the OL. No sacks, nice running lanes, they really did the job today.

Dixon will be the qb to go. Probably be put on the IR as soon asBen is back.

This team can compete with anyone on a good day with Batch or Leftwich.

I'll be happy but surprised if they finagle an IR. The type of injury he has is a 3-4 week injury.

same here ...either one of those two bombs could've EASILY been picks instead of td's. i bet the people who pointed out nonstop how dixon "got lucky" he didn't have 4 picks, won't say a word about how batch could've had 4 picks.

Sometimes you gotta throw it up deep and hope your guy makes the best play on the ball. Ben does it sometimes too, otherwise you never get the safeties out of the box and you can't run the ball. Don't get me wrong, i know there was some element of luck to a couple of those passes, but give it up to charlie for putting the ball in a position for his guy to make a play too. You can't played scared, if there's no threat of th deep ball you'll have trouble getting guys open on intermeidate routes.

Batch put up some good numbers, but got fortunate on a couple of underthrown passes to Mike Wallace. He also threw a couple of interceptions too.

I'm going with Medenhall. He averaged 7.5 yards/carry, blocked really well in the passing game, and sealed the deal in the 4th quarter.

Honorable mention to Mike Wallace. His two touchdowns were easy to notice, but I'm sure his presence kept the defense honest and really opened up the underneath patterns and the running game.
