PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers, in a bye week, fielded plenty of media questions after practice Wednesday about the big NFL news of the day -- the Randy Moss trade.

Moss was dealt from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings, where he'll join quarterback Brett Favre.

"A guy like Randy Moss is a weapon, so I'm sure Brett is loving that. He probably had something to do with it," said Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who practiced for the second day after coming off a suspension.

Roethlisberger said he expects quarterback Tom Brady and the Patriots will make do without Moss.

"Tom Brady is one of he best, if not the best. If anybody can get it done, he can," said Roethlisberger. "I'm sure he'll tell you that he's got other weapons that he can go to. But I'm sure he'll miss a guy like Randy."

The Steelers will meet the Patriots here on Nov. 14.

"It takes him (Moss) out of the AFC, right, and puts him in the NFC, that's one thing," said Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke.

"We haven't really looked at them (the Patriots) this year. We don't play them until down the road. But it actually takes away a Pro Bowl guy, one of the best receivers ever to play the game.''

Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle El echoed that respect for Moss.

"That's a guy you always got to kind of shadow. It's hard to play him one-on-one because he can go up and get the ball," said El.

"Our defense would do a good job if he was here (on Nov. 14), but him not coming here and not being on that team when we play against them, hey, it's great for us."

So? You expect the best in The Super Bowl. Don't have to deal with him in the play offs, though.
