Green Bay Packers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/greenbaypackers/profile?team=GB) starting tight end Jermichael Finley (http://www.nfl.com/players/jermichaelfinley/profile?id=FIN403212) is very likely to be placed on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery, league sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora on Wednesday.
Finley's surgery Tuesday revealed much more knee damage than expected, and Finley has told teammates he is done for the season.

Finley, who is second on the team with 21 receptions, had been expected to miss at least three weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. He was injured early in the Packers' overtime 16-13 loss to the Washington Redskins (http://www.nfl.com/teams/washingtonredskins/profile?team=WAS) on Sunday.
The Packers also placed specials teams ace Derrick Martin on injured reserve because of a knee injury he sustained Sunday.
Linebacker Robert Francois was signed from the practice squad to take Martin's spot.
The Packers added safety Michael Greco (http://www.nfl.com/players/michaelgreco/profile?id=GRE029532) and linebacker Mike Rivera (http://www.nfl.com/players/mikerivera/profile?id=RIV241217) to the practice squad and released linebacker Johnny Williams.
