Las Vegas Review (http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2006/Mar-14-Tue-2006/news/6354688.html) This is from the Las Vegas review journal this past weekend:

SIGHTINGS

Jon Bon Jovi, arriving in time at "Beacher's Madhouse" (Hard Rock Hotel) to catch a mini-Bon Jovi act: three little people and a 350-pound woman. Afterwards, in the Hard Rock penthouse, Bon Jovi tried his hand at bartending, pouring shots for Beacher's Babies. Also there: Enrique Iglesias and Wilmer Valderrama. ... Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, bowling during his spare time in the Kingpin bowling suite over the weekend in the Palms' new Fantasy Tower. ... NFL quarterbacks Kyle Boller of Baltimore, Kyle Orton of Chicago and Palmer, partying at Tao (The Venetian) with single-season NFL sackmaster Michael Strahan of the New York Giants. ... Motion Picture Association president Dan Glickman, former Kansas congressman and secretary of agriculture for President Clinton, dining at Morton's. ... Writers Alan Zweibel, Lorraine Desepres and Rocky Fino, at a table with KTNV-TV, Channel 13 anchor Tricia Kean on Saturday at the Medical Research for Brandeis University benefit at Paris Las Vegas. ... At OPM (Forum Shops at Caesars): NFLers Steven Jackson, Joey Porter and Larry Johnson.

I also recently read an article about Palmer attending a teammate's wedding and even dancing with the bride (don't feel like finding it again). However, if Carson can dance and bowl right now, I think he should be having no problems throwing the ball in September. :bouncy:

bowling and ballroom dancing??? (look out jerry rice). translates well to the football field huh? did he use the little bumpers as he bowled? i wanna know what his score was and how bad he sucked trying to dance. sounds like he mightve been liquored up on both occasions.

its a one year injury. if he does come back before then he will be lucky to not be skittish or gunshy, let alone 100%

Thats good news for Cincy fans if he comes back in time for the start of the season.....but whats he going to do without his mentor Jon Kitna?????
Carson: "I guess you could you say I have mixed emotions. I'm extremely happy for Jon and his family for the great opportunity he has there. But I also consider him irreplaceable as a player, as a teammate, and a leader in our locker room."

Thats good news but if I was the Bengals I would be watching him like a hawk making sure he takes it slow, the most important part of recovery is to not over do it too soon...

I've been saying that all along. I believe that Carson will play scared when he returns and as Steelers fans have seen first hand, a scared quarterback isn't far from the waiver wire, i.e... Neil O'Donnell, I thought that Neil was tough when he came on the scene but after breaking his leg he played with fear. Tommy Maddox wasn't a big sissy until after the hit in Tennessee that had him believing that he was paralyzed.

If I were the Steelers. Wait, let me rephrase that. If I were ANY TEAM I would blitz the living shit out of Palmer.

At times, physical injuries tend to heal quicker than mental injuries.

Keep us updated CantStop85....lol.
