The best part of that article is that Hartings extended for another year.

If someone can explain why Barrett Brooks is coming back I would like to here it.

When Marvel Smith went down in November Trai Essex stepped in. The only play I recall Brooks made all year was being called for a false start on a FG attempt.

This is a suprise. I thought Shea coming in would end Tuman in Pitt. I know we got Clark, but if the market isnt kind to Hope, is their a chance he comes back to Pitt? Reason being, Tuman turned down the Steelers original offer according to reports, could the same happen to Hope?

The only reasons I can come up for keeping the Sta-Puft Marshmellow man are A) Nobody else wants him, B) He's cheap, C) Insurance in case we can't sign OL depth in FA or draft some depth.

Bailey to back up Keisel

The Steelers expect to sign one of their former players, defensive end Rodney Bailey, to a contract this week. Bailey, who paid them a visit yesterday, is an unrestricted free agent from the Seattle Seahawks.

Drafted by the Steelers in 2001, Bailey signed as a restricted free agent with New England in 2004. The Patriots released him, and he played in Seattle last season. He will back up new starter Brett Keisel on the right side.- PPG

thats a pretty good and cheap move. i was hoping more for a brentson buckner type as back-up but the steelers dont throw $$$ around, and buckner can still start somewhere. baliey will do.
