"According to the Coalition Press Information Center, initial reports indicate that a number of enemy weapons caches have been captured, containing artillery shells, explosives, IED-making materials, and military uniforms. Troops also captured several people, according to CPIC.". - Fox News
Sounds like things went smoothly and according to plan. I'm curious to know how many of those bastards we smoked.

I'm sure we'll know within the next few days.
Apparently it takes more than one spankin for those nuts to get the message. I'm glad Iraqi forces were part of the mission. CNN is saying that they will also be imbedded w/our troops in our efforts on the ground.

I heard that it was 100% Iraqi generated intelligence as well, which is a positive step. Some general or other said something to the effect that, while this raid won't end the insurgency, it was very succesful and success breeds more success.

I agree that the mission was a success, and I also agree that Iraqi involvement was imperative at this stage and is a very postive step. Things are (hopefully) coming together now.

Update on the attack...
BAGHDAD, Iraq — Heliborne U.S. and Iraqi troops pressed their sweep through a 100-square-mile swath of central Iraq on Friday in a bid to break up a center of insurgent resistance, the U.S. military said. No resistance or casualties were reported.

I hereby declare that we now refer to the insurgents (AKA crazies) as Lulus...(lol)!
