Really wasn't too upset with woodley being hurt because it allowed worilds and foote to get a bit of PT. I thought both did a great job filling in. Foote was stout on Run D, and Worilds showed his motor on back to back plays, and at the end of the game to win the game. Now if only we had some high draft pick Lineman to pick up the slack for smith out indefinately.. grunt..cough (hood) cough cough

count your blessings we got hood if reports are correct that a. smith is out for the rest of the year.

worilds looked solid in relief of woodley. ther is another pick nobody understood (cough, cough, hood) that should pay massive dividends if woodley ever goes down for an extended period of time.

I'm a huge ziggy fan, I just really want him to step up now and cement his draft position. It's hard to step in A.Smith's shoes though. The guy is arguably our best defensive player.

Jason did a good job, especially since he was actually requested to fill in on D-Line a couple times during the game. He isn't that good in the run though, he's too small.

He's quick off the edge that's for sure. I'll be honest when we drafted him I was like.. Seriously? an OLB?? But now it's starting to make sense :D

he's just gotta beef up a bit.. his speed was impressive off the edge though, and his never quit playing style showed.

Is it at all possible for us to use him or Woodley or Harrison as a full-time 3-4 DE? lol

Worilds did great pass rushing. I'd like to see Worilds in there more when the other team is passing on 3rd down

Why? Just to watch him get held and butt-raped to the ground like Harrison every other pass rush attempt?

He completely met my expectations to this point in his career. I don't have anything bad to say about him.

Yeah, but every once in a while the refs do call a 10 yard penalty for sodomy

i saw Harrison's jersey being pulled a number of times..

i think we just have to accept the fact that in the NFL today, holding is pretty much legal because the league wants offense. they'll call it once in a while when it is overly obvious.. but there are times when they could call it 3 and 4 plays in a row but choose not to because some teams would never score.

Yeah it's easy .... Lol

Compared to sheading blocks ...Containing and pass coverage...pass rush is much easier for a Steeler 3-4 olb....We have never had much trouble replacing pass rushers!

Same as that - I enjoyed watching him, and once he matches his speed and instincts with a bit of raw power he could prove a real handful. Butler's work as LB coach just goes from strength to strength and I can't say how glad I am he chose to pass on the DC job to stay as LeBeau's heir apparent.

The good thing is we have a number of players who can step in and play well - we just need someone to step in and play brilliantly. An opportunity has presented itself - if Worilds can take advantage of it and play lights out, then I'll be happy as a pig in s--t.

I could have told ya that Foote would be fine but Worilds was a little of a surprise to me. Foote is a very good LB still, but the move of Smith being replaced is gonna be tough. But I agree its Ziggy's Chance to Prove that he was Worth that No.1 pick.

With his age and his 2nd injury kind of like this, except to different arms . . It very well could be, but I love this guy and I hope that if he is able to recover that he will be back in Black n Gold

JW filled in just fine, he was slowly beating the Olineman and getting closer with each play till he got to the qb when it mattered.
