We need to get our young guys in the mix more.........Sanders needs some balls thrown his way.......Brown needs to learn the playbook faster.............We need some young speed for some quick hits 5-9 yards down field.............

Brown knows the playbook. He just has a stubborn headcoach who would rather see Arnaz Battle on STs.

Or maybe the GM is stubborn... people don't realize just to put a guy on the active roster the head coach has to the GM first. Tomlin was a reciever, I'm sure he would love to have these guys in the game, but maybe he's only allowed to have 1 rookie reciever on the roster at a time or Battle is getting way too much money to be on the practice squad.

The roster has been handled very poorly this season, but as fans we really don't know what happens behind the scenes.

Yes we do...Wallace is a long threat but still struggles with routes....We got to get these young speedy guys involved....I just can't understand why we haven't?

see the pick 6 denver returned on us in preseason. if 2nd year wallace is still struggling with routes a bit, it makes sense that our 2 rookies wouldnt have the offense mastered as well.

I'm pleased with Randel El for the 5-9 yarders, he hasn't been weak there and he knows the system.

I'm sure Holmes is sitting back with a blunt and laughing at this thread.

Yea I know he is good.......But I see all these young guys all over the league just lighting it up.........It just seems like a waste of a season for someones carreer with all that talent to be standing behind someone without..........Youth is electric.........I wish I was 22 again...............

Nah I will give you that, but remember we did that last year with Wallace and he's still doing what he does.

I do agree I wouldn't mind having Sanders getting a few more touches out there, but honestly I'd just prefer a Welker-esque receiver. Hines is the vet who can run any route and do what you need him to do usually. Wallace is break-neck speed and deep-threat. Ben, for whatever reason, hasn't been hitting Miller as much for moving the chains, maybe put Sanders or Brown there.

If they can do it well, it'll help Miller in moving them too.

I'm sick of seeing Spaeth drop passes though.

I was going to quote something Similar and while they may have speed you don't need the field over run with players that may not run the proper route and end up where they should not be because most good throws are made before the receiver breaks into the proper route and if the Wide Receiver is in the wrong place what do you think will happen. INT.

Holmes is missed so much because of his great ability to run the proper routes and then the speed element comes into play for all the YAC he gave us. Wallace right now is more of a out and go guy you put it up because he is faster than the coverage.

I doubt if the 2 rookies are better route runners than what we have on the field right now.

Randle El has been a disappointment on special teams as punt returner, virtually has done nothing. On offense he threw a TD pass to Wallace but he lacks speed on the gimmick plays (jet sweep) .
Here is a thought though, sit A R E down for a game and activate Brown with Sanders. Both have speed and Sanders is a good route runner and could do what El does.
I know that is likely not going to happen but I think it is an intriguing idea.

I agree...time for these young guys to get open and make some plays. They are capable...Sanders has already made a few plays for us. But if they can get more into the offense, it will open things up for Hines...and maybe Mendy for the check down. I'd like to see us go play action more and use more receivers.

I agree, other teams are doing the same. Their all goin short fast plays and it works.

Team is playing fine. Its the 4th quarter philosophy that is killing this team. Last year, it cost them 5 straight games and no playoffs. This year, they almost blew 3 games.
