lots of interesting things to learn from this.-

-william gay played 49 of 58 snaps. casey hampton played only 28 of 58.

-of caseys 28 snaps, only 7 were played at NT.

-steelers only lined up in their conventional 3-4 six times.

-steelers used a 4-3 with hoke-hampton-hood-eason twice.

-hampton and hoke were on the field at the same time 7 times.

-hood and eason switched positions 14 times.

interesting stuff.

was it a 4-3 or a 4-4 though? Maybe the extra lineman was brought in for goaline situations because harrison, woodley, timmons, and farrior all were on for 58

looking at the offensive chart, the steelers used spaeth and went 2 TE set in half their plays. (31 of 61 snaps)

you can almost say that spaeth and gay are some of the biggest beneficiaries of holmes and a. smith's departure.

If you remeber in the first half even the commentator mentioned how much nickle we were playing. I know Gay had some good special teams plays, but he seemed to be getting beat in coverage.

yeah, but he wasn't beat that many times...I'm not certain but I think I saw Bmac get burned more than Willie...
