arians threads are mounting on this board and with the mass exodus right wingers, the anti-obama threads have significantly dropped.

with so many arians threads going up (and the potential of many more as his contract draws to an end), as a mod, i must look at how to deal with them.

being that this is a football board, i always felt a teams offensive coordinator would be a hotter topic than the president of the US. this wasnt the case with the previous group of mods and their clique.

a quick search of threads started (and closed for being a redundant topic) reveals these stats:

anti obama threads- 168 threads- 3 locked (1:80)

arians threads- 125 threads- 23 locked (1:5)

to no suprise, since the previous mods and their following loved arians and hated obama, bashing obama was encouraged, but saying anything negative about arians was heavilly frowned upon (and thats putting it lightly).

members were threatened with a ban for starting an arians thread or continuing an arians topic, yet there was an "Official bash obama" thread and all members in the inner right wing circle were permitted to start a new thread on the topic every day.

so heres the question-

should this practice be resurected and continued or should all threads and topics being discussed be moderated equalyl within the guidelines, and according to the COC?

(this is sort of a rhetorical question cause pete, scm, and i have already made drastic improvememts with fair and balanced moderation, but the members input and insight is always welcome- as opposed to being an excuse for a ban.)

Bruce Arians is a muslim socialist, and Barack Obama doesn't know shit about football.

:chuckle:

I say carry on as usual, with the occasional merging of redundant threads on either topic.

the COC was written by the former owner of the board, unless the new owner has expressed the desire to operate under the "old" guidelines, i'd think the COC needs revised. no country bashing ???

when you buy a house do you ask the former owner to make you a list of their house rules ?
naturally your going to have some of the same basic rules , such as wipe your feet before you enter , but suppose you smoke and the old owners didn't allow smoking in the house ?

?

lol... that was all a ruse concocted by gary and MA. it shoulda read "no bush or republican" bashing.

it was all part of their "masterplan" unveiled in their social forum to appease their cronies, stoolpigeons and worshipers.

they got sick of (and too thin skinned) to handle any anti arians talk or anything negative about saint bush or republicans.

as God crated man in his own image, they were trying to create steelerfan in theirs.

:banging:

the best thing about this board today is that the mods dont think they are a football board god bleeding blood sweat and tears upon a cross of no thanks.

This is an interesting thread and observation Tony.

Both arians and bho are ideologues, and are entirely driven by their ideologies. They both insist on managing their respective responsibilities within their ideology despite the negative results. Neither is capable of learning from their mistakes. One is destroying the team I love. The other is destroying the country I love.

I detest them both for those reasons.

So it's OK for me to put up an image of Arians with a Hitler mustache dressed in a Nazi uniform?

And can I start a thread trashing Arians wife based on what she wrote in her senior thesis at Princeton?

No, that would be petty and uncalled for.

Bash her for what she wears instead. :chuckle:
