Ravens hoping Reed is difference-maker

Ben Roethlisberger wasn't in the lineup when the Ravens beat the Steelers at Heinz Field on Week 4, thus giving the Steelers a decided advantage today when the teams meet for first place in the AFC North.

But the Ravens are thinking the same. They , too, were without their quarterback on defense.

Ed Reed sat out the first six games of the season with a hip injury.

Since his return, Reed has 15 tackles, a forced fumble and four interceptions, one of which he pitched to teammate Dawan Landry for a touchdown.

"Time and time again, he shows that he's capable of making plays, game changing plays," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said.

suggs, ward feud continues

Terrell Suggs might have showed a sign of appreciation for the Steelers when he defended James Harrison and the way the NFL has treated him.

The good will apparently doesn't flip over to his buddy, Hines Ward.

Ward and Suggs have had their issues in the past and, at least according to Suggs, he still owes Ward one.

"I remember, I think it was last year or two years ago, he caught me switching, and he hit me," Suggs said. "I was running to the ball. So I think I owe him one, but as far as this game goes, people can say these two teams hate each other. I think it's just a strong respect, kind of a dislike."
