• 8-7 on the road in the series against the Ravens.
• 6-1 on the road this year.
• 7-2 against AFC opponents this year.
• 3-1 against AFC North opponents this year.
• 14-5 in primetime games under fourth-year head coach Mike Tomlin.

PITTSBURGH INDIVIDUAL NOTES

• Needs five receiving touchdowns to break the team’s single-season record, which is 12 held by Hines Ward (2002), Louis Lipps (1985) and Buddy Dial (1961).
• Needs receptions to set a career high for catches in a season. He currently has 36 after finishing with 39 as a rookie in 2009.
LB James Harrison
• Needs 1.5 sacks to reach 50 for his career, becoming just the seventh player in team history to total at least 50 career sacks.
• Needs one forced fumble to match his career high of seven and to tie the team record for forced fumbles in a season, which he currently shares with Greg Lloyd (1994). Harrison had seven in 2008 and has forced six in 2010.

Got to win field position. That means deep punts and kickoffs and solid returns as well. It's gonna be difficult to make 70 and 80 yard drives against B-More. Can't turn the ball over. O-line has to show up. Dbs have to show up. It won't be a high scoring game, but we've got take advantage of opportunities. Hope Arians has some new stuff in his playbook because they know us as well as we know them.

IDK why but I have an inkling feeling this is gonna be a huge night for our rookie wideouts. Something's just telling me that both of those guys are gonna make some huge plays tonight.

Bouchette's pre-game post on PG+ says Steelers are doomed with "everybody" picking Baltimore (I guess Peter King & New York Times Fifth Down are not part of "everybody" since they picked the Steelers:noidea:). Bouchette does not believe Steelers can run and that Ben's immobility will be a big hindrance on passing

One point on which I agree with Ed.B. is that Steelers D needs to create some turnovers to give the offense a short field for some scores

Snarky Harbaugh comment to Costas that his team has figured out the new rules while clearly implying the Steelers have not

Maybe not

According to an NFL spokesman, Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata was fined $10,000 by the league for a roughing the passer penalty against the Miami Dolphins.....

After the Dolphins game, Ngata said he hoped he could avoid a fine after crashing into Henne with the crown of his helmet in the fourth quarter.

Guess Ngata hasn't figured it out yet

It's not the secondary's fault that we made a bad call. They sent every player they had on deep routes and got match-up advantages because Troy decided to blitz.

The fact is that we can't put any pressure on the QB anymore and the secondary is getting exposed badly. Being able to put pressure on the QB hid the fact that the secondary was so bad because the QB was rushed when he threw. Nobody can get close to the QB anymore and he is able to stand back there and find the open receiver.

Boy was that nice. Flacco could have taken a ****ing nap back there and still had time to throw! Whatever. The Steelers aren't going anywhere this year anyways. They will be lucky to make the playoffs as a wild card team and have to beat the Patriots in Foxboro or the Jets at the Meadowlands. Unlikely. I was lucky enough to see them win two SBs in my life so I can't expect much more but this season has been abysmal.

Prediction for next offensive series: 1st down run up the get for 1 yard, 2nd down incomplete pass, 3rd down Ben sacked, 4th down punt to give the Ravens good field position.

the view I saw he had both feet down with the ball coming to him but he lifted a foot while securing the catch and then went out of bounds, which would make it incomplete

I don't get it in HD so I didn't get a great view, but the fact that the Ravens didn't exactly take their time afterwards tells me it was at least worth a look.
