Really tough call...how do you not pick the year we get Ben??

But from top to bottom I like 2002.

Sleeper pick from 2005 could be Chris Kemoeatu out of Utah.

95...I mean, cmon...Lee Flowers? They Paper Champions! ;)

Id gotta go with 2002 or 98. 98 has two of the best Steelers of all time, but 2002 has more depth.

How was Mark Bruener (1995) regarded by you all during his Steelers career? He was well loved by Husky fans during his college career out here.

He was well loved by Husky fans during his college career out here.i think most steelerfans were proud he was called the best blocking te pretty much up until he left. i always thought he was excellent regardless of the ammount of catches he had

Good question. I really liked the pick that year but I set my expectations higher. I watched alot of PAC-10 since mid-80's and Bruener was not flashy but he was an impact player - he took over late in games much to my dismay .

That being said he seemed shaky at times as a Steeler when he was asked to do more than block. But I think that was more about how the Steelers ran their offense.

I was stoked when we drafted Heath. I think the Steelers should have expanded the role of the TE for some time now. Miller has more upside than most going into next season and is potentially one of the most critical components of our offense. He made a few (only a few) big mistakes this year but he is a rookie and they were completely out of character.

At this point my "favorite" is 2004 with Ben Roethlisberger. If you would ask me what I believed to be Cowher's "best" draft I would say 1992. 4 long-time starters in Leon Searcy, Levon Kirkland, Joel Steed and Darren Perry along with an always capable back-up OL Kendall Gammon.

I'd hesitate between 98 and 2002.

No doubt about it... 2002. Man Donahoe's draft sucked... He couldnt draft a skill position player (especially WR) if his life depended on it.

Love them all, but on 2004 we got our franchise QB and later won the super bowl, so i'm sticking to that one.

Great call! Not sure if Eva Longoria is leaning 20004...Aaaaaahhhhh! Still leaning 2002. Let's hope Ben comes back to be as good as he thinks he is!!!!!!!:flap:

Has to be 2002 for me, everyone in that draft class has been a key component of the Steelers barring Lee Mays, Lavar Glover and Simmons (Debatable).
