Are we that bad at the 2 deep that we can't give Troy a rest for a game or 2?

Why would they give him a game or two off??? The only way they give him a game off is if #1 or #2 seed is locked up in week 17.

Like the above post states...this isn't baseball (or hockey). There's only 16 games in a season, not 162 or 82...where you can afford to give guys a rest.

I believe Mundy is Troy's backup, and while we can't necessarily give Troy the day off, I can see the reasoning going into games with Carolina and Cleveland the last two weeks.

i agree. they should rest their best defensive player while they are fighting for a playoff spot. tomlin is such a nazi.

It would be nice if we beat the jets and carolina and could rest him against the brown eyes...

Troy is hurting but at this time in the season so are lots of players

Too bad the Ravens did not blow the game last night - maybe New Orleans or the Browns can beat Baltimore

Being able to sit Troy and Roethlisberger for the Browns game would be nice

We have zero depth at defensiveback.

well, obviously we can't give a Troy a game off, but i do have a great idea....

Why don't we just use the defensive squad on offense too. lol....They couldn't do any worse. Hand the ball off to Harrison and let him mow people down.

How's this, after he returns a pick 6 against the awesome Notre Dame retread in Carolina we can let him have the rest of the game off... Then he will play the whole game against the stains just to destroy them! And then he can have the following week off for our bye week....

What a ridiculous proposition.

With Troy sitting out we might have walked out of Buffalo and Baltimore with L's and might have never got ignited against the Bengals. The guy has proven to be almost single handedly the difference between having a shot at a first round bye or sitting out with a 9-7 record.

Are we that bad off at outside linebacker, inside linebacker, center, running back, wide receiver and slot receiver that we can't give Harrison, Woodley, Timmons, Farrior, Pouncey, Mendy, Ward, Sanders and Wallace a few games off? What kind of a loser team am I rooting for?

Are we that bad at offensive coordinator that we can't give Arians a week off?

He deserves it, but if clinch the number 2 spot before the Cleveland game then he can take a rest in that game

I say Stevie Wonder takes his spot at calling plays. It can't get ANY worse anyhow. Maybe he'll come cheap too. It's possible.

Troy doesn't practice the entire week until like Friday, then plays on sunday and has an outstanding game. He doesn't need a game off, just give him the week of practice off
