We all know the o-line is horrible, but this quantitative measure states how awful - 29 out of 32:jawdrop:

Only Raiders, Bears and Panthers rank lower

The New York Life Protection Index was created by sports information leader STATS to provide a composite gauge for this undervalued component of the game. While the New York Life Protection Index is calculated using a proprietary formula, the fundamentals are comprised of the length of a team’s pass attempts combined with penalties by offensive linemen, sacks allowed and quarterback hurries and knockdowns

Of course on the bright side the 2008 o-line ranked 30 out of 32 and they got Super Bowl rings:chuckle:

Meh. What else is new? All that matters is Wins and Losses.. we are 10-3 and flying high folks.

True enough but at some point the offense is going to need to generate more than 10 points against a quality team - cannot count on playing Palmer and Flacco throughout the playoffs

29th is probably an improvement from last year

guarantee we'd be 32 if it wasn't for pouncey

How can the Raiders be lower when they are one of the best rushing teams in the league?........This measurement scale is pass favored...........

The formula includes penalties - Raiders are most penalized team in the league - we all know how the Steelers line has been penalized recently

Giants rank 3rd in the OL rankings - Falcons rank 4th in OL rankings - Texans rank 6th in OL rankings

Giants rank 4th in rushing - Texans rank 7th in rushing - Falcons rank 8th in rushing

Hard to conclude rankings clearly are biased against teams that run

Im just saying I watch alot of the Raiders games, and besides the spankin they got from us, they are dominating teams on both sides of the ball....Even though they lost this week, they could easily be 9-4 this season if a couple of calls go the other way......

Raiders pass protection looked like absolute hell against the Steelers.
