He lives in Atlanta, GA, and he was in New York City when he called me early this week. I didn't ask any questions, but was curious what could be up. This is my best friend in the world from childhood, bear-in-mind, and I did something similar with him with tickets to the 1997 AFC Championship game, left a message on his voicemail that he needed to find airfare to Pittsburgh the next weekend, that I'd bought him his ticket already. :)
Anyway, I forgot about it this week, and today a package arrived. I opened it, and inside, this is what I found:
I have NO idea how he pulled this off (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2001-12/7071/DigitalCamtransfer.jpg)
Here's the front (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2001-12/7071/DigitalCamtransfer148.jpg)

Very cool...I noticed it's got the stitched name on the back. I had one of those once, and you need to be VERY careful with it.
Your best bet is just to frame it and be done with it. If you ever wear it, you'll need to wash it, and that stitching in the letters will unravel.

WWIIOwheelz, what is it exactly? Is it a strategic war game? European or Pacific? I mess around with Sid Meier's "Antietam". Is it sort of like that?

Simulation of WWII on a map that's half-scale of the real Western Europe. Infantry, armor, AT guns, AA guns, fighters, bombers, you name it.
Massively multiplayer, hundreds/thousands on at any given time, 24/7. The learning curve is enormous, but it's a pretty incredible experience. Put it this way, I bought the game in 2001 and I now work for them. :)
If you'd like to check it out, HERE'S the homepage (www.wwiionline.com). It's at the end of a campaign right now, the Axis pretty much cleaned up. There are over 450 entire towns modelled, including some that are enormous (Brussels, Belgium comes to mind.)
If there's no free trial, shoot me a PM, I'll see what I can work out. The game is being re-released as Battleground Europe soon in the United States, has already been released as such in Europe.

That's pretty sweet. Looks very interesting. Never played online gaming. So I'm sort of clueless. Thanks for the info. I will check out the website today. Much appreciated.
