We should just forget what happened on Sunday and move on to the Thursday night game.

I really think this should be a statement game for the Steelers to boost their confidence against a very beatable opponent.

23-6 Steelers

if we don't win this game, we should be eliminated from the playoffs. i know there are some teams in this league that are much better than their record says, but carolina is not one of them.

we *should* win this one easily, i would like to see the young talent at WR get more reps, we will need them to step up if we're going far into the playoffs. I like sanders so far and barring a couple holds he would have won us the game

Yeah...I'm feeling the same way. All the players have to put that game behind them pretty quickly and move on. Their playoff fate is still in their hands.

I don't predict scores and wins...but winning these next two games should be very doable. And yes, would be a good confidence boost going into the post-season.

I just hope they don't sit back now that they know they're in the playoffs. Gotta play hard for that bye week, get guys healthy.

9-3 Stillers.... The O is stagnant and I don't see any signs of improvement. Susiham should be making 100 million.

Well we had 2 drives from the 90+ and 1 from the 60+ with 2 of em scoring drives. Redzone offense needs work and Arians needs to leave, but once Ben is in the driver seat then there is no stopping us, well minus the officials. And how about Mendy. Having a big game. Also with Sanders and Wallace.

Needs work ? Were 14 games into the regular season, times running out.

If the Steelers lose to Carolina they are one and done in the playoffs regardless of whether or not they get a bye

Not screwing around in the first half with special teams breakdowns and continuing to protect the ball from turnovers would be a good start.

Remember the '05 and '08 Superbowl wins?
Our offense wasn't exactly magical. The offense though kicked in once the playoffs started.

28 - 6 Steelers

We had BETTER win this damn game. I'm traveling from DC to my family's place in Central PA on Thursday for the holidays and I'll be hauling ass to see this game (which of course coincides with a Pens/Caps game, also televised... does the NHL Network hate Pittsburgh fans or something? They ALWAYS air Pens games whenever the Steelers play Thursday Night Football!). So I had better not be disappointed and it had better not be a damn nail-biter.

I would like to see a nice mix of run and pass to get a quick 14-0 lead with maybe a bomb to wallace or sanders..............from there someone better facewash that fool Arians to the ground and give the panthers a heavy dose of Mendenhall and Isac F***ing Isaac Redman(not Moore....Redman).......and just pound the living crap out of em with running game

I honestly think they will come out on fire to kill Carolina. I am thinking something like 28-14 with a TD for Carolina coming late in trash time.

whether the offense kicks in the playoffs or not, arians still needs to be canned.

28-6 Stillers. No way Carolina cracks the endzone or even comes close to it. They get two late FG's to stop the bleeding and we get 4 offensive productive TD's out of pure frustration of our redzone woe's lately. Mike Wallace catch's a bomb for 6.

It was the defense that scored the 75 yard TD run or it was the defense that caught the game winning catch.

Clubber Lang once said something that rings true for Thursday night!

PAIN!!!!

I would like to see whatever works, we stick to it. Blitz the crap out of them all game, pass run, run pass doesnt matter, stick to what is working. Both should work agsint the panthers. This shouldnt be hard even for Arians.

I think some rookies should have some playing time. Maybe in the 4th quarter? I'd like to see how Sly and Worilids do.

I think this will be closer than many think. Jimmy Clausen, while not impressive to this point, is a man playing for his job now - not only to keep the starting job, but if he doesnt get his team out of last place there is a 99% chance they will draft Andrew Luck which would mean he may never get a chance to start again. Without Troy, our pass defense is particularly suspect, and Carolina has a better group of receivers than their stats or record may otherwise indicate.

Im still taking the Steelers, but not in a landslide. I'll say 27-17 Steelers at the end of the day.

You'd never know. Arians might call smart plays. And by smart plays, I mean by not even coming with 10 miles close to the stadium.

Bucking trends here...29-22 Steelers. We get a big game from M-Wallace and a pick-6 from the D. However, our runnung game is stuffed & Jonathan Stewart has the biggest rushing performance against us this season (still under 100 yards).
