View Full Version : Polamalu Returns to Practice and Wants to Play

Saturdays announcment that Troy Polamalu would be out until the playoffs looks like it may be off the mark. After watching what happened this weekend against the Jets Polamalu was on the practice field on Monday and wants to play in this weeks game against the Panthers. I would still hold Troy back. We already secured a playoff spot and it is the Panthers. He needs to rest. We need to learn to play without him. The other guys need to step up and become playmakers in his abscence. NOTE: Heath Miller also is not on the injury report and is expected to play versus the Panthers

I think we can survive without him so I suggest he rest.

yeah he wanted to play after getting injured last week too.

sit him, at least for carolina.

coach needs to pull a waterboy speech on him lol: "look man we're gonna need you, cause there aint nobody on this team who's any good!"

well that's going a little far but you get my drift

No way do I let him play, and probably not in CLE either, unless
he is truly 100% and healed which I doubt.

If he can play the first quarter I say let him! Just to stop there run game which is all they truly have...

actually the more he wants to play, that'd be more incentive to sit his ass! i want him flying like a bat out of hell come playoff time. what better than to keep the animal caged and rattle it for a couple weeks lol

I'd really think they'll need to chain him down.

If we lose to the Panthers we fall from 2nd to the 6th seed in the playoffs AND lose the bye... i say rotate him with Mundy. If not, suit him up and bring him in if the Panthers stay in the game...

He sat out today.

Not to overlook the Panthers, but their whole offense is running so I think we can stop that. Jimmy Clausen is also a rookie and will be confused by Dick Lebeau's defense.

Our defense can beat the Panthers and Clowns without him. SIT HIM!

12-21-2010, 04:58 PM
i would sit him. we suck at home so who cares if we get home field

12-21-2010, 05:00 PM
If we can't beat Car. at home, with this much to lose, without Troy
then we don't deserve to make any noise in the play offs.

12-21-2010, 05:15 PM
No, Troy, you are not allowed to play.

i say activate him for the game and see how its goin if it gets to close in the 2nd half bring THE PRETATOR in!!!!

I agree with letting him suit up but only play him in the fourth quarter if they are still in the game. Which happens almost every game. But don't do anything stupid and for heaven sakes don't put him in on field goal units which injured him last year.

He should sit...Id rather see him get healthy, of course he would help us but I think we can handle the panthers without him.

Looks like as of now...he's OUT. Apparently, maybe until the playoffs now.
