...at their respective positions and i dont give a shit if you like the pro bowl or not.

harrison leads OLB's. troy for safties and keyeron fox for special teams.

markice pouncey is 3rd in rookie voting behind suh and bradford. (not too far behind center leading vote getter jeff saturday).

biggest suprise (well maybe not) is ray "pile on" lewis ahead of lawrence timmons :banging:

stevenson sylvester > fox!

a lot of these guys get voted in off reputation alone so i wouldn't be *too* surprised that ray lewis is a lock. similar situation with harrison getting voted in last year and lamarr woodley missing it in favor of suggs

their numbers are pretty close but timmons edges him in most categories except tackles.

tackles 124/ 90 solo vs 121/ 86 solo

timmons 11 passes defended vs 6. 3 sacks vs 2.

both have 2 int.

ray has 2 forced fumbles and 1 recovery, and timmons has 1 ff and 2 f rec.

pretty much even.

doesnt matter since LT will likely be in the sb. let jarod mayo and ray lewis inflate their next contract price.

(nice to see timmons catching up to draft mate patrick willis.)

Ray Lewis is good and Suggs is good too.

Ray has had a great year and those who miss that are blind. In the past people have said he sucks and the coaches just give him tackles when he comes in at the end of the play. I've watched him a lot this year and he is really good and has made some key stops at key times. I don't think it makes me any less of a Steeler fan to admit that. I don't think he is getting false praise. I think he is good and he is a leader. Without him, the Ravens would be weaker and have less heart.

I hope Timmons makes it this year (if we don't go to the SB). It was one of his goals as the only LB not to have made it.

And yes...they do need to fix the damn pro bowl. It was better before when the top players went...not a million players turning down spots...how embarrassing. I think the AFC went to like their 8th choice in QB last year. It takes away the honor. F you on this one Goodell.

The Pro Bowl is a joke anyways, its 99% just a popularity contest and doesnt accurately represent the league's stars at all. Just look at last year's roster and some of the leaders this year, it's horrible...

I guess two things that annoy me are:
1. Pretending Brady and the Patriots are no good and haven't had our number
2. Pretending Ray Lewis is no good.

i'm not saying suggs is no good, but judging off last year's stats, woodley had him beat in almost every category and led the NFL in tackles for negative yardage. he deserved it more than suggs did.

ray lewis is usually money in the bank but I think he gets more votes than someone who might be just as deserving just because he's ray lewis. You can't tell me that in this point in his career that he's better than Timmons, stats don't lie.

like i said, people get extra votes due to reputation. I honestly didn't think james deserved it last year, but he gets those extra 'reputation' votes.

NFL.com put Fox there instead of Sylvester because they don't know crap about anything... But again, its fan votes, player votes and coaches votes, and its all handicapped so its even and fans don't get the edge.

Ray Lewis has had a very good couple of weeks while Timmons has had a drop off. The times Farrior made the pro bowl, I believe he beat Lewis both times in voting.
