Of his 60 catches, 48 went for first downs.

Great job.

Wallace ain't no rookie. Unless you're referring to Brown and Sanders.

I'm amazed it was only 48. When you average 21 yards/catch, you'd think almost all of them would be first downs. I honestly can't remember more than three or four short catches. Maybe I'm just blocking out all of those ingenious bubble screens.

Do those 48 include his TDs?

I can't recall a single TD catch he's had from inside the opponent's 10. I don't think Ben even looks his way in the red zone. Does that answer your question?

Like someone else said
Not suprising considering he averages 21 a catch. If his 10 TDs aren't counted that means less than 10 of his catches were not for first downs.

Not really... Does a TD count as a 'first down' on the stat sheet? I don't know if it does or not. I'm just saying that it could be deceiving to say only 48 out of 60 were for first downs if it was really 48 out of 50 since he had 10 TDs (or 58 out of 60 went for a 1st or TD).

When you have Arians as a coordinator, usually the first down ends up being farter than 21 yards down the field

I have looked a bit, and unless I am wrong fans, I think Wallace is the very first WR to have over 1200 Yds receiving,,,average over 20 Yds a catch, AND have double-digit TD's...the very FIRST! And if true,,,how is he NOT on the AFC Pro Bowl team ? Absolutely disgraceful.

Okay Thanks sir. Although according to the site I looked at, Wells did it in 69, but not 70. And Groman was with the AFL, not the NFL and that was a wide-open " Arena like " league. But still, not having the greats do it for over 40 years is still Impressive by Wallace. And he definitely deserved a Pro Bowl bid over the likes of Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne., It should have been Lloyd,,Wallace and Bowe.

Buying. Wife. Mike Wallace Jersey.

Hopefully her curse won't affect it. She owned Randel El's jersey, then he went to Washington so the next season I bought her a Santonio Holmes jersey since he was good and had a long contract. Then we all know what happened there. Now she rocked Randel El's jersey again this season by default (we'll see if he goes this offseason).

So, is it ok to buy her a Mike Wallace jersey?

The Pro Bowl nod has sort of always been a terrible measurement of a player's skill.
