PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Monday, January 3, 2011

Four of the Steelers’ eight away games next season will be played west of the Mississippi River, and they will make trips to Houston, Arizona and San Francisco in 2011. (Well I'll have to start planing on attending the Steelers/Cardinals game. It shouldn't be to hard to get tickets considering how badly the Cardinals stunk it up this year. - mesa)

The Patriots, meanwhile, will visit Heinz Field next season for the second consecutive year.

The NFL released teams' opponents for the 2011 season today, and times and dates of the games will be determined later.

The Steelers will play every team in the AFC South as well as the NFC West in addition to the six games they play within the AFC North.

By virtue of winning the AFC North this season, the Steelers play the first-place finishers in the AFC East (Patriots) and the AFC West (Chiefs).

The 2011 NFL schedule could be affected if there is a protracted standoff over a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

The NFL Players Association is bracing for owners to lock out the players in March when the current CBA expires.

if, and a big if, we can win the Super Bowl.. next year has all the makings of a down season and possibly no playoffs. we've already seen it happen twice.

Unless something changed, we should be at home against the Cardinals. The last time we played the NFC West was in 07 and we were home against the 49ers and Seahawks and away against the Cardinals and Rams. That should be flip flopped this next season.

Won't be until after the schedule is released... which is usually June, I believe.

East teams have it way easier traveling to the west than west teams have comming here. East teams actually gain a couple hours of rest while west teams comming east lose 3 hours. So the road games shouldn't bother the steelers

I'll be at the game in San Francisco.

If the NFL goes to 18 games per season, where will the extra 2 games come from? 1 extra game in each of 2 other divisions? 2 extra games against the NFC?

I will be in Houston for the game. I usually wait the week of to buy my tickets off stubhub or ticketexchange I've always noticed they drop pretty good as opposed to buying them off a secondary site before the season starts

Just glad we don't have to play in Mexico City again ;)

I think the schedule is comparitively easy. But we'll see, always surprises and Steelers seem to end having gone through a rough schedule by the end of the season.

Steelers were 7-1 on the road in 2010.

When I went to the Steelers-Cardinals game in 2007, a Cardinals fan there remarked to me, "I have never seen so many visiting fans here. Not even the Cowboys."

Steelers travel well!

I lived in Phoenix at that time and was at that game...it was easily 50% Steelers fans. :tt02:
