the obviously want one bad. they were at the center of t.o. talks before he landed in dallas. to show how tough it must be to be a gm, here are the other options they are rumored to explore:

trade lelie and a pick or two to green bay for j. walker.

trade both 1st round picks (15 and 27 i believe) up to s.f. (6th?) the value chart says this would also yield them a 5th rounder. then draft te (who they also need) v. davis

stand pat and draft a wr at 15th. probably c. jackson. if theyre balking on c. jackson, or exploring trading up, it tells me 2 things. they dont think hes worth the 15 pick. they wanna take l. white with that 15 pick.

it seems to me they like having 2 picks (and l. white at 15) but they would rather not overpay for their wr needs at 15 (c. jackson or) or have to reach for s. moss or somebody else at 27.

They can get all the WR they want, Plummer is well under pressure anyway, it will be all for not!

One of the 3 guys at CBS Sportline has Holmes falling to us at 32.

I think Chad Jackson will be a wasted pick if Denver takes him. He's zero deep threat (His 10.2 YPC average was 600th, yes, thats SIX HUNDREDTH, in all of college football) and has some other questions about him. I think they take Holmes at 15 to keep him away from a few teams that need a WR, and take White at 22.

I think they take Holmes at 15 to keep him away from a few teams that need a WR, and take White at 22. this did seem like their most reasonable option. with them trading away #22 maybe they think a wr theyre targeting will slide all the way to 37. if they did take a wr at 15 i couldve started a little run on them. if they dont start that run i wonder if its possible all 3 of the top wr prospects are still there at #32.

randy cross and pat kirwan were talking today about how good of talent there will be in rounds 2,3,and 4. that if a team is pretty cash strapped, this is good of a year as any to trade youre 1st rounder just like denver did. l. white just seems to make too much sense at 15 and i believe he will prove to be worth it. if they are set on a 1st round rb it shows me theyre practically running from any wr's in the 1st round, like they dont even wanna be tempted by it. if they draft a wr at 15 i will really be suprised.
