Well now I have a reason to watch the pregame show Saturday

Bill Cowher stopped by to say hello to several of us at practice today after he made his rounds with some players and with Art Rooney and Kevin Colbert.

He looks good, looks thinner and he was going to play racquetball with Colbert after his interviews were finished. They had a daily game going when Cowher coached here and Kevin never won.

Cowher was scheduled to interview Ben Roethlisberger, James Harrison and Hines Ward.

It was his first known visit back to the facility since he left as coach after the 2006 season. It surely was his first practice. He interviewed Roethlisberger earlier this year at Ben’s parents’ house.

I like the P-G photo - an image of Steelers' present with the Steelers' past

Agreed, I also love how they both look so stern. If there is one thing you need as a Steelers coach it is a tough as nails attitude and both these men certainly have it.

on the way to the airport to leave town, cowher called tim ryan and pat kirwan (sirius radio "moving the chains") for a scheduled interview.

on who won the raquetball match with him and colbert- "some things never change".

on reports of him coming back or havinG 3 choice jobs- he put family over a job. he is not ready to get back into coaching. he likes his CBS job and he loves being able to be there for his daughters so soon after his wifes death.

the best part of the interview was about him meeting with tomlin. he met with tomlin in his old office. tomlin was sitting where he used to sit. coach cowher sat in the chair where 'many of the old players he called into his office used to sit'.

he said it was great to see mr. rooney & art. [definitely showed me the pecking order, in his mind].

he testified that the fact that the steelers havent missed a beat is how great of an organization it really is.

he gave mad props to the behind the scenes people such as the trainers and front office people, and expressed how nice it was to see them.

i was driving home through the interview with a giant smile on my face.

he is still steeler. :tt02:

i know its hard for him to sit up there in the TV booth and be non-partial when discussing the Steelers but he does a good job.
That's a great photo of the 2.

I will forever have a special place in my heart for Bill Cowher. Especially after he sent that picture back of my beloved dog Pooh and I in Steeler gear and autographed it for us! I will never forget the moment I opened it up and seen it.

And the picture of him and Tomlin together is just inspiring that's all there is to it. Both two good men and fine choices for our coaches.

:thumbsup::drink::tt02:

He can come visit us ANYTIME for the door will ALWAYS be open.
