The two leading receivers for the Steelers yesterday were BOTH rookie phenoms; Manny Sanders and Antonio Brown.

Going into the game, Hines was harping on how the playoffs is a complete different monster than that of the regular season. They stepped up BIG TIME and made some huge plays.

Here's to the rookie receivers that came up huge yesterday! :tt04:

Some great plays made by all of the receivers... especially Sanders and Brown. I'm not missing Homes at all.

yeah, the only time i've really heard the analysts mention anything about them was that we were using "seldom-used young receivers".
I was thinking "seldom-used" ?? We use them all the time....

They barely got a blurb about them on TV.

I am amazed how well the Steelers have covered for the departure of Holmes - he would not have been back in 2011, but I doubt the Steelers would have drafted 2 receivers in the most recent draft to address a 2011 vacancy

the 'experts' only look at the numbers, they don't watch the steelers as closely as we do lol. but that's ok with me as long as we keep winning.

Agreed... there were two awesome plays by Hines that no one will talk about... well, maybe one b/c it was a TD. But that clutch 3rd down catch... I don't know if there's anyone else I'd rather have Ben throw a laser to than Hines on a critical 3rd down.

Not just the receivers, we have young players stepping up on both sides of the ball. :applaudit:

i brought this up in the game ball thread when i awarded mine to antonio brown. both rookie wr's along with wallace the year prior were phenominal picks.

when you can shitcan santonio 'lol'mes and a potential pro bowl return specialist and not be any worse for the wear, you know youre doing something right.

Yeah Brown and Sanders look like they're going to be good. Not trying to be mean to Limas Sweed but we've come a long way from rookie seasons like his for our wideouts with Antonio and Emanuel's year this year and of course Mike last year. We look well set up for when Hines retires which I will point out I hope is not any time soon since he's one of my favorites.

The future looks bright for those 2.

Holmes who?

I can't wait what these two will bring next year after more practice.
