The Steelers gave up 62.8 rush yards per game (legendary) while Chicago gave up 90.1. thats 27.3 yards difference. The #20 team gave up 115.7 which is still smaller than the gap between 1 and 2. thats how good this run D is. :tt03: :tt03: :tt03:

Another amazing defense courtesy of Dick LeBeau and company.

Best run defense I have seen in my time watching the steelers. In 2008, that was the best Pass defense I had seen.

I can't remember who posted this (Tony?), but in another thread someone said that this years Steelers D has the 5th best run defense of all time. 62.8 sounds about right for that lol.

And weren't the others shorter seasons, one may not have been. But I thought 3 might've been shorter seasons, not doing it in 16 plus 1 so far, and really its 60ypg now after the spanking to rice and co.

I remember hearing that too, they were talking about it during one of the games or something. I think they said that the only other modern team ahead of us is the Ravens team that won the superbowl, and they gave up maybe a yard less per game.

No, even better than 5th all time 3rd all time run defense. Chicago 41 number 1 Ravens 00 number 2.
who knows??? All the TV analysts are still talking about how good the Ravens are against the run. You wouldn't even know we were that good if you weren't a fan lol
