Imagine New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg standing at the top of the Statue of Liberty, wearing a Steelers jersey and waving a Terrible Towel.:chuckle::chuckle:

It could happen.

In what may be the cities' only act of cooperation this week, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Mr. Bloomberg made a joint appeal Tuesday for the public's help setting terms for the traditional playoff-game wager.

The Steelers and the Jets play at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Field. The winner goes to the Super Bowl.

Saturday, with the Steelers' triumph against the Ravens, Mr. Ravenstahl won a tray of crab cakes from Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

Ms. Rawlings-Blake also had to post Facebook, Twitter and YouTube messages acknowledging the Steelers' superiority.

Mr. Ravenstahl said ideas for this week's bet may be posted to the city's Facebook page.

"This time, we'd like to hear directly from the Steelers Nation," Mr. Ravenstahl said in a statement.

He plans to announce the winning wager idea Friday on Facebook and Twitter.

Mr. Bloomberg also is accepting ideas through his office.

How about the Stature of Liberty wearing a Steelers jersey.. Now that would be a bet.

Furthermore it shouldn't be bloomberg anyway, other than the name, this has nothing to do with NY, its a NJ team. If they want to be NY, pay the added 10% employment tax to NY.lol
