What would happen if a MLB baseball player would take a swing at an intentional walk pitch? Are they allowed? I think it would be so funny for a player to do that twice for 2 strikes and force the pitcher to pitch to him to possibly strike him out.

If he can reach it. If the batter steps on or over the plate and hits the ball he is out. But there is nothing to prevent a batter with 2 strikes from intentionally swinging at a wild pitch and taking off for first. It happens often enough.

Anyone who would accept two strikes against the sure walk in order to get a chance at more bases is an idiot, and would never make it to the major leagues. And if the defense really wanted to walk the guy, they's throw four more outside pitches anyhow.

I've seen teams call hit and runs while the batter is getting intentially walked. It actually worked for the most part.
